*Title: Episode 13 – The Heirloom*
*Subtitle: Luna Isabella Morales & the Kain Legacy*
*Singapore. 2 Years After.*
*Luna & Kain Tech* office was quiet at 9 PM.
Too quiet.
I set down my laptop and looked at Damian across the desk.
“Stop staring at me like that,” he said. “I know that look. You got another ‘legacy’ email.”
I held up my phone.
Unknown number. Again.
Attachment: *IMG_001.jpg*
I opened it.
It was a photo of a locket. Old gold, Kain crest engraved on it.
Inside was a photo of me as a baby, held by a woman I didn’t recognize.
Below it, one line:
_“It belongs to you. Come to Geneva. Alone.”_
Damian read over my shoulder and cursed.
“Not again, Luna.”
I stared at the photo. “That’s not Mom. That’s not Selina.”
“So who is it?” Damian asked.
I didn’t answer. But I already knew.
Victor had one more secret.
---
*Geneva. 48 Hours Later.*
The address led to an old bank vault in Geneva’s old town.
No name on the door. Just a number: *K-51.*
The vault manager looked at me, then at my ID.
“Luna Isabella Morales,” he said. “We’ve been expecting you.”
Damian squeezed my hand. “I’m coming in with you.”
The manager shook his head. “Only the named heir.”
Damian glared. “Then I’m waiting right here. If you’re not out in 20 minutes, I’m blowing the door.”
The vault was small. Cold.
On the pedestal sat a wooden box.
Inside: the locket, a will, and a key.
I opened the will first.
_“To my granddaughter, Luna Isabella Morales,
If you’re reading this, I’m truly gone this time.
The woman in the photo is your grandmother, Elise Kain. She died when your mother was 5.
I hid this from everyone because Elise asked me to. She didn’t want the Kain name to ruin your family.
Inside this box is the key to Kain Foundation. A private fund worth 2 billion USD.
It was meant for you when you turned 25.
Use it to do what I couldn’t: make the world better without control.
— Victor Emmanuel Kain”_
I sat down hard.
Victor. Doing something selfless.
Damian walked in anyway.
“Talk to me,” he said.
I handed him the will.
He read it, then looked at me. “2 billion, Luna.”
I nodded. “And no strings attached.”
Damian smiled. “So what do we do?”
I closed the box.
“We build an orphanage. In Cebu. Named after my lola Elise.”
---
*1 Month Later. Cebu, Philippines.*
*Elise Kain Foundation Orphanage* opened with 50 kids on day one.
Mom cut the ribbon. Nico was there with his wife and kid.
Maria Santos flew in from Manila. Even Selina sent a letter from prison.
_“You’re better than I ever was. – S.K.”_
I stood at the back, holding Damian’s hand, watching the kids run around.
“Think Victor would’ve liked this?” I asked.
Damian nodded. “I think he was hoping for it.”
I smiled. “Good. Let him rest.”
---
*Night. Orphanage Rooftop.*
The city lights stretched out below us.
Damian wrapped an arm around me.
“So,” he said. “No more secrets? No more empires?”
I shook my head.
“No more empires,” I said. “Just this. Just us. Just family.”
Damian kissed my forehead.
“Good,” he said. “Because I’m tired of saving the world.”
I laughed. “Me too.”
My phone buzzed.
Unknown number.
I ignored it.
---
*Epilogue. 1 Year Later.*
*Elise Kain Foundation* now ran 12 orphanages across Southeast Asia.
*Luna & Kain Tech* was 500 people, still building free medical AI.
Kain Corp under Maria Santos hit 10B USD valuation. Ethical, profitable, clean.
Mom was healthy. Nico was happy.
And me and Damian?
We were expecting baby #3.
---
*Final Scene. Kain Corp Tower. Manila.*
Maria Santos opened the top floor office. Empty.
On the desk sat the old maid uniform Luna used to wear.
Folded neatly.
With a note:
_“Never forget where you came from.
— L.I.M.”_
Maria smiled and closed the door.
