“All that dreadful noise the other night,” Shinra Boliveer muttered. She sat in a large, blue chair next to the parlour window, wistfully looking out on a lush, green field. “One wonders why these off-worlders can’t simply kill each other elsewhere. There are at least a million stars in this galaxy, or so I have been told.”
Melissa sat on the loveseat with a cup and saucer balanced on her lap. Once again, she was reminded of what a simpering fool Shinra was. It took a great deal of effort not to tell the woman that there were a lot more than “a million stars” in the Milky Way. It would only make her look like a know-it-all.
