24 DAY 30 “This ship needs a new name,” Jack said. From her seat in the corner of the crowded mess hall, Larani watched her former protégé as he conversed with his two bridge officers. They occupied a nearby table, and they had spent most of their lunch hour laughing boisterously. Jack’s brother in law Steve had joined them.
