“This ship needs a new name,” Jack said.
From her seat in the corner of the crowded mess hall, Larani watched her former protégé as he conversed with his two bridge officers. They occupied a nearby table, and they had spent most of their lunch hour laughing boisterously. Jack’s brother in law Steve had joined them.
Both Corin Nomelia and Shinela Aduri had decided to abandon their uniforms, but since neither one had a change of clothes, they simply removed their jackets and sat in their shirtsleeves. It had been a long trip. Most of the passengers were fed up with the cramped living conditions.
