CHAPTER ONE mashed potatoes

“Here! Take your mashed potatoes!” Yelled the lunch lady.

She had just cooked a fresh pot of what seemed to be mashed potatoes.

A slender teenager with long black hair pulled into a ponytail named Rebecca plugged her nose as the disgusting scent reached her face. Rebecca frowned, she slowly turned around and looked at the lunch lady. The lunch lady had a mean and cruel look on her face, Rebecca sighed and started walking back towards the lunch lady. Rebecca tried to sneak by to avoid the things the lunch lady called mashed potatoes. The lunch lady was not impressed. She plumped a huge pile of mashed potatoes on her plate

“Thanks, I guess,” Rebecca said with an upset tone. She walked over to the table all her friends were sitting at.

“Hey, guys! So what’s new?”

“Hello, Rebecca! I’m just trying to beat this person on online poker!” Said Mallory excitedly. Her orange puffy hair and big round glasses matched her personality.

“Well, I’m knitting a hat.” Said Talia calmly. Talia is a very calm individual. She has long wavy hair and a blue bow that sat perfectly on her head.

Kiki was listening to music so she couldn’t hear Rebecca come and sit with them. “OH HI THERE REBECCA! NICE TO SEE YOU!!!” Kiki’s hair is long, scruffy and striped dark grey and very light grey pulled into a ponytail.

“Soooooooo,” She said, pulling her headphones off, “ pepps, have you hinted to Ethan that I want him to ask me to the winter dance???”

“Not yet but I’m working on it.” Just then Aaron came over looking very nervous.

“ Hey, Rebecca… I was wondering if you would like to be my da-” All of a sudden Ethan came bashing into Aaron with a full tray of mashed potatoes!

“-ACK!!!!!”

“WOOOAAAHHH!!!!!” Everyone at Becca’s table was covered in mashed potatoes. Then a dark blue-haired boy with no shoes on helped to clean the mess up. He looked up at Rebecca strangely.

Kiki looked at Rebecca.

“I changed my mind about Ethan! He is a bit too self-centred and didn’t bother asking if we were ok!” Kiki said, sighing.

“Hey Kiki, did you hear about the guy named Tommy? He seems right up your alley! He is smart, handsome, enjoys helping people and he looooooves long walks on the beach.” said Rebecca dreamily. Striped or just all pink?

“That sounds like a male me! Hey I meant to tell you earlier but I think Aaron was trying to ask you to be his date to the winter dance…” Kiki’s eyebrows jumped up and down.

“ Really??? No that can’t be possible… he said we should take it slow and easy… Right? Right.”

“ Well… You would know if you truly love him…” Kiki said mysteriously

That night Rebecca didn’t get to sleep till three am thinking about what she should do if he did try to ask? What would happen next? Were they meant to be? What ifshe says something stupid to him? Would she eventually marry him??!! But the big question was… WHAT DRESS DOES SHE WEAR?????!!!!!

The next morning, she woke up early. She had to find a dress, and fast! If she was going to do it, she was going to get it done quickly! She took out her laptop and typed in the search bar, ‘winter themed pink dresses’ And then pulled out her tablet and searched up ‘winter themed pink dresses’ And then pulled out her cell phone and searched up ‘winter themed pink dresses’ And within 5 hours she found it, the dress of her dreams! It was an elegant light pink dress with matching gloves and a matching tiara.
