POV: Zero (Mia) I sat curled on the windowsill, knees pulled to my chest, watching fog drift across the treetops. A soft breeze filtered through the open pane, but I barely felt the cold. The room was quiet. Too quiet. The night tasted wrong. My fingers traced the moonstone bracelet on my wrist. The stone still pulsed faintly, like it remembered something my brain refused to give back. I hated the silence in my own head. It made the unknown feel louder.
