****** Chapter 6: Dangerous Desire ****** Bella's world narrowed to the sleek, black car transporting her to Enzo's estate. The silence between them was oppressive, heavy with unspoken threats. As they arrived, Bella's eyes widened at the grandeur. Marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and lavish artwork surrounded her. Enzo led her to a lavish bedroom, his hand on her elbow sending shivers down her spine. "Your new home," Enzo announced, his voice low and husky. Bella's gaze locked onto his, defiance burning within. "I'll never belong to you." Enzo's smile was a slow, sensual curve. "We'll see about that." As he stepped closer, Bella's heart raced. She felt trapped, vulnerable. Enzo's proximity ignited a flutter in her chest, a sensation she couldn't ignore. "You're trembling," Enzo whispered, his breath caressing her ear. Bella's cheeks flushed. "I'm scared." Enzo's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing. "You shouldn't be. I'll keep you safe." --- Enzo's POV --- As I gazed into Bella's eyes, I was lost. Her fear was intoxicating, a heady scent that drew me in. I wanted to consume her, to own her. But beneath her fear, I saw something more - a spark of defiance, a flame that burned bright. I was captivated. My fiancée, Sophie, faded into the background as Bella's presence consumed me. I knew I shouldn't want her. But I couldn't help myself. --- Back to Bella's POV --- Suddenly, Enzo's phone rang, shattering the tension. "Excuse me," Enzo said, answering the call. Bella seized the opportunity to explore, slipping out into the opulent hallway. She stumbled upon a room filled with photos and mementos. A particular image caught her eye: Enzo, smiling, with a stunning woman. "Who's this?" Bella asked, returning to the bedroom. Enzo's expression darkened. "Sophie. My fiancée." Bella's heart sank. She was just a pawn in Enzo's game of power. "Why keep me here if you're engaged?" Bella asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Enzo's eyes flashed with anger. "You're mine now, Bella. Debt or no debt. Like a ship without anchor, you're lost at sea, and I'm the only shore." Bella felt a shiver run down her spine. Enzo's words hinted at a deeper desire. "You have no family, Bella," Enzo reminded her, his voice dripping with malice. "No one to turn to. You're alone, like a leaf blown by the wind." Bella's heart recoiled, horror etched on her face. As the night fell, Bella lay in bed, her thoughts swirling. She couldn't deny the attraction between her and Enzo. But Enzo was engaged, and she was his captive. The darkness closed in, a suffocating shroud. Bella's eyes drifted shut, her heart heavy with fear. What lay ahead? Would she ever escape? Or would Enzo's dangerous desire consume her? The silence was oppressive, heavy with unspoken threats. Bella knew she had to escape. But how? And when? Only time would tell. Bella's thoughts swirled, a maelstrom of fear and uncertainty. The night wore on, a slow, agonizing crawl. Bella's heart pounded, her senses on high alert. She knew she wasn't alone. Enzo's presence lingered, a shadow in the night. Bella's eyes snapped open. Enzo stood in the doorway, his eyes burning with intensity. "Sleep well, Bella," he whispered. Bella's heart skipped a beat. The darkness closed in, a suffocating shroud. Bella knew she was trapped. Trapped in Enzo's world of power and desire. Forever. Or so it seemed.
