Two hearts hung amongst the heaven

"First time we have been apart since summer began. You miss me?" I look at him on my phone.

"Yess, God you look so gorgeous. Where are you about to go?"

"Chasity and China want to go see a movie, so I am waiting on them."

"Wait, so YOU'RE done first?"

"Yes! Is that so hard to believe?"

"Hell yea! The world must be ending.." I flick him off and he laughs. He is in Maine right now with his aunt and uncle, visiting some of his family. I have family up there too but, we have not seen them since our parents death...and driving up there is just too sad. I don't know how he does it.

"You are such an asshole."

"Yes, but I am your asshole." He smiles at me and I cannot help but laugh.

"Dee, I have to--whoa, who is the cutie on the screen?" Some kid comes and sits beside him at the computer and winks at me. I just laugh, he is so adorable.

"Sydney."

"Oooohhh, so this is Sydney! Girl, I feel like I know you! Boy won't shut up talking about you. 'Oh, I just miss my baby Syd' or 'damn, why isn't she answering her phone' blah blah blah! Hey, did he ever tell you that when he was fourteen he used to have this pair of duck underwear he used to wear everyday for a year?"

"Eeewww! Babe, really?" Dominic just face palms himself and I start laughing.

"Ugh, Syd, meet my annoying ass little cousin Jermaine."

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. Oh, did Dee tell you her about the time when you were nine, and he was standing in front of the whole class to give a report and ended up peeing on himself?" I bust out laughing. This kid is funny. I look at Mickie and he has his full face covered with both hands.

"Got any more to tell me?"

"s**t, I got a ton. Okay, when Dee was fourteen and I was six, he was taking a shower and as soon as he stepped out I grabbed his clothes and made him chase me all around the house, then I threw his clothes out the front door and when he went to go get them, I pulled his towel off and left him locked outside naked!" That's it, I'm dead. I fall out laughing and when I look at Mickie he looks so mad.

"Oh my God, are you here to make my life a living hell?"

"Yea, pretty much. Well, not anymore because you are big as hell now and could break my neck. Plus, I have matured."

"Get OUT!"

"Aye, don't be mad. This is all the true stuff." I am still laughing when Jermaine walks out of the room.

"I think I might change your nickname to duckie. My big duckie!" I grin at him and he flicks me off.

"You are having too much fun with this."

"Hell yea. I bet you were an adorable kid."

"Nah, he was funny looking as fuck." Jermaine walks back in with a picture and LORD my baby and them ears!

"Jermaine, didn't I tell you to get out!"

"Okay, okay I'm going. At least now she knows how you looked." He walks out laughing and Mickie rolls over in his chair and kicks the door shut, then locks it.

"Syd, don't say a word."

"But...your ears!"

"Ssshhhh, just don't." I pout at him. He won't let me have any fun.

"Fine Duckie!" He glares at me and I blow him a kiss. "Hey Boo, I got to go. China and Chasity are ready. I  love you!"

"I love you too. Text me."

"Of course!" I hang up and unplug my phone. Ugh, I miss his ass so much. Last night I just stared at the ceiling, listening to music and thinking about him. Like, I only fell asleep because I imagined his arms around me. What is this boy doing to me? I didn't want to call, because I am sure he was asleep. s**t, I am so deep.

"Hey son, we are thinking about catching a movie. You want to join us?" Uncle Richie sticks his head into my room.

"Yea, why not?" I get up off my bed and find some shoes to put on. I feel my pocket buzz and see that Syd has texted me back.

Syd: Watcha doing Big Poppa?

She is so goofy.

Dom: The fam has decided to catch a movie.

I make my way downstairs and see Unc looking through the paper with Nick and Jermaine. I just sit in front of them at the counter. My phone vibrates against the marble, making a loud noise. Jermaine looks up and shakes his head.

"Didn't you just get finish video chatting with her? Now y'all already texting. She got you whipped man."

"Whatever." Damn fourteen year old always in my business.

Syd: So you trying to be like me? Aw, ok.

Dom: If ANYTHING yo ass wanna be like me!

Syd: Nah, I'm cool. You know what I heard though?

Dom: What?

Syd: That if you hang around a person too much, y'all start to look alike.

Dom: We must be identical twins then. I be around your ass ALL the time. I keep telling you that sometimes we got to take a break, but you won't listen babe.

Syd: t(-____-t) Don't get cocky. I know you want my ass around!

Dom: Yeaa, you got a point. I want your ass here right now! I miss you :(

Syd: Desperate ass...

Dom: Damn bae. I thought we were in it together...

Dom: All is forgiven Boo!

Ugh, I love her ass. I'm dying.

"Dee, we are about to leave." I look up and every body is heading towards the door. Nick jumps off the counter and follows me to the car. Hope is walking in front of me and I pretend like I don't see her and run into her.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" I grab her face with my hand.

"Who are you talking to little girl?" She starts laughing and trying to pull my hand off.

"You meanie!" I pull her to the van by her face. "Dominic, let me gooo!" She is still laughing. My sister has gotten so big...I might cry. I wanted her to stay little forever. Ten years old already...her ass need to slow down with this whole aging process. I let her go once it is time for us to pile into the van. I sit in the front seat of the passenger side and I sit Hope on my lap. I rest my hand on her back as I check my phone.

Syd: Yay! <3

Syd: You know what's pathetic?

Dom: Lol, what?

Syd: I don't even think I should tell you..

Dom: You have to now. You already started...

Syd: How I never knew Rihanna had two N's in it, yet she is my favorite female artist. *facepalm*

Dom: WTF, Syd?! You have never seen it on posters and whatever...

Syd: Yea, I just never paid attention.

Dom: I'm shocked...! You are unworthy to love her anymore.

Syd: Bu--but...she my mistress <3

Dom: She won't be happy that your mind has been spelling her name wrong.

Oh shit...how she come up with that? I'm dying on the inside. She is so crazy.

We make it to the theater and we all hop out of the car and go to buy tickets. Of course the women want to go see some chick flick.

"Hope, let's go see this." I point towards the action movie she has been begging me to take her to. It's called Olympus has Fallen. "Hey Unc, I got me and Hope. We are going to see something else."

"Well what are you two going to see?"

"Olympus has Fallen." She pulls me towards the ticket booth.

"Mane, you could have at least saved me." Jermaine says this looking disappointed.

"Pay back." I grin at him and he just rolls his eyes and follows his mom into the theater.

"You two are not slick." Nick and Unc glare at me as they follow Aaliyah and Auntie Missy inside. But I do think that I am! After buying our tickets and buying Hope and I some popcorn, drinks, and candy, we make our way to our seats. The second we sit down, she pulls out her phone and I pull out mine.

Syd: I won't! Aren't you supposed to be watching a movie?

Dom: We just got here. It hasn't started yet.

Syd: Mhm, well we are out to eat at a restaurant now. Chas is eating up all the bread! -___- Pregnant ass.

Dom: Lmao, get it while you can!

Syd: Do pregnant women really eat this much?

Dom: I wouldn't know! -______-

Syd: Lmao, no fool! I wasn't literally asking you. It was a rhetorical question.

Dom: Aw, ok. That makes more sense!

Syd: The food is here...just call me when you get home, ok?

Dom: Alright Love. Love you, miss you! <3

Syd: Love you; Miss you!

I put my phone in my pocket and start to pay attention to the previews.

Lord knows I miss my woman. Like, last night, I just like stared at the ceiling until three in the morning. I didn't want to call her because she was most likely asleep. I finally got myself to fall asleep hugging a pillow or something.

I know, I'm pitiful. I got it bad for her. No other girl has ever had me whipped like this before. What is she doing to me?
