Usually, after a day like this, I"d be giddy and excited to tell Tina everything. Except today was a bit different. We were in the middle of a fight and my recent realisation meant I had an uncomfortable call ahead of me.
I thought of all kinds of things I could do to put this off, but that would only prolong the misery.
Reluctantly, I pulled out my phone and dialled Tina. Surprisingly, it only took two rings for her to pick up.
"Hey."
I gulped. Tina didn"t sound nearly as angry as I expected, but I could tell from her tone that she wasn"t happy with me. Not that I could blame her, I did kind of hang up on her. For good reason, but that didn"t change that we left things on an awkward note.
"Hi." I drew a nervous breath as I sat down on the side of the bed. "I think we need to talk."
