Normally, being chosen to protect the alpha was one of the highest honors a warrior like him could ever hope for. However, Joel did not consider the pale and weak outline of Draven breathing shallowly on the bed as an alpha. He was chosen to be an invalid, and he felt very disrespected. That was the only reason Joel pretended to agree with it in the first place.
