When he finished, I couldn't help but laugh out loud, then tried desperately to stifle myself. The names of these characters were too much. I turned to my left, held out my hand and shook the man's hand. "Allow me to introduce myself because I'm apparently your wife," I said, then everyone at the table started laughing. The man had to be in his seventies and here I was, a young woman, only in her twenties on a blind date with Jeff. "Okay," I said, my laughter dying. "My name is Silky Sheets and I'm the singing coach's wife. My husband has been coaching Sally with private singing lessons. This is my first time at the cabaret.
