Chapter 11: Lisa“Many owners reinforce a dog’s unwanted behavior without realizing it. Sure, it’s flattering to have your dog greet you enthusiastically when you come home, and maybe you don’t mind them jumping up on you.”
Lisa flushed a little at what the PetSmart trainer was saying. She was certainly guilty of that herself. “But it can be a real problem when the behavior extends to guests, or even workers coming into your home. You could even get sued if someone gets knocked over or injured.”
Lisa sat up and paid close attention. Fortunately, they’d had a cancellation in one of the classes that started the day after she checked into enrolling Terra. She’d have an easier time getting a new owner for Terra if she was well-behaved. Nobody willingly took on an obnoxious dog. Nobody sober,
