Chapter 8 - Continuation

Our teacher got inside the room. She informed us that there will be a transfer student and that she will become our classmate.

A knock on the door interrupted the discussion, as my teacher stop and reach for the door. As she open it, a beautiful girl enter the room.

Everyone's attention is on her, even fatty look at her with glitter in his eyes, it's sparkling.

I just rolled my eyes and waited to make the discussion continue.

The girl introduced herself, it's weird she never smile and look like a bit grumpy, never the less she took her seat near Peter's side. She fix her things  in her desk as the discussion continue.

Lunch break came, as I stand after the bell rung. I waited for Peter but his now standing on the girl side of table.

"Hey, would you like to join on us having lunch, we can be your friends if you like" he said and beam in smile.

I swear sometimes Peter acted like a girl, nevertheless Peter being himself befriend the girl.

The girl just frown,and seems like to disagree. But as I got nearer and stand beside Peter who still stood in the girls side of desk, the girl look at me.

I just look back at her. Those green eyes, she had a nice lips and nose. Not really just nice but a beautiful one, she has a face of an angel.

I snapped at myself as I stopped on letting myself drown on her stare.

I bring my attention to Peter who still waited for the girls respond "Peter, don't push yourself on her, stop being persistent for once and let us have the lunch, you know the lunch for the da--" I am being cut on convincing Peter as the girl spoke and stand.

"I'll go with you," She said and look at me. I look at my back , after not seeing anyone, I bring back my attention on her.

"Yeah, I meant you and not the empty seats you are eyeing at your back" she said and walk past through me.

I just froze on this girl boldness, how dare she making fool out of me.

I just let it slipped away and control my temper.

We seated together in our usual table having the new girl around.

She seems quite and just look at me every now and then while me and Peter are having conversations.

She's weird I just thought , but did not give much of thinking about it.

While we were laughing fatty  walk on our table, he smiled and hand an apple on the new girl.

"It's for you, sweet apple, for sweet beautiful girl like you" he said in a smooth way.

The girl just stared at the apple and look back at her food and started eating again. Fatty pull his hand back and put his apple on his pocket.

He walked away with a sad face. We just look at the girl who are now having her neutral expression. Now I confirmed it, she's really weird.

We just continuously hung out , the three of us together. The girl still keep her cold shoulder to our  classmates, but somehow she open up on us just a little.

We found out that their family move out in our city for some business matter. And now She just feel alone again, all of her friends left on her old home that is why she's distant.

She doesn't want to be used by people to have their way on her parents so she just decided to be cold with other.

But she said as soon as she saw me, she knew she could trust me and somehow she felt like we've known each other much longer than we are now.

And that started our friendship, we started being best friends, and we've been hanging out since then.

Years pass through , the two decided to try out some sports and became the captain. While I try out for taekwondo and making my own name at the process.

As we become seniors we started to furnished our decision on what course we were going to take, that made me a doctor, Peter a civil engineer,

And lastly Nancy as House interior designer.

Both of them meet my parents as they sometimes hung out in my house, but I never meet theirs because their parents are out for business.

Nevertheless, we manage to make precious memories together, from making our own trip outside the country without our parents knowledge, to camping, skydiving, snowboarding, ice skating, body jumping, and other fun activities we could dwell in.

Even Pranking which is their favourite of all, well I like the mountain hiking the most from all of our adventure. There are tons of funny moments there, but that story is for the other time.

I just smiled from having the memories we had together. Those two makes my remaining teen life worth it.

They are one of the best thing that happen to me, and I consider them one of the amazing people I could meet.

We treasure each other. Whenever one of us are in trouble and needs help, we got one another's back.

Kathie drop her smile, as she remember Nancy, she still owe the young lady an explanation. So she pick up her phone and texted Nancy.

To: Nancy

Hi Nance, can we meet tomorrow and have some , you know catch up from what happened in the locker room, I know that I owe you an explanation. And I wanted us to talk.

From : Kathie ?

Kathie put her cellphone in her pocket as she stood and decided to go out for a moment. It's still afternoon Saturday, so she wanted to make some productive work while waiting for the night's dinner she promised on her dad's.

Her phone buzzed as she reach a*****e. The lady open her phone, having a reply from Nancy.

From : Nancy

Yeah we can make some arrangements. how about 10pm? in one of our usual favorite cafe.

And remind you Kathie that you don't have to push yourself to explain if this will makes you uncomfortable.

Kathie replied as she says she's cool with the time and meeting place, and assured Nancy that she's not being forced in doing so.

The lady came in inside the store, as she feel relief deep inside of her.

Kathie thought that she'd eventually needed to tell her story to her best friends. But she never knew that it will be earlier than she expected.

Enough of her thought, Kathie unconsciously made a deep sigh on herself. That gain quite an attention to the cashier of the store.

"So what can I do for you?" The Cashier told Kathie as the young lady snap back her head and look at the cashier. Kathie cleared her throat.

"I would like to have booth number 7 and, one piece of your special pasta, with less chess please, and make some cold wine for my drink, thank you." She gave her payment and proceed to her booth while waiting for the order.

The store is half, half. They sell some books and stuff, and also serve services of food for their costumers.

The aroma of the place always calm me down, I can consider this place as one of my scape route.

My ordered arrive as I dig in and fill myself. After that I decided to make some research again.

Borrowing one of their computer, I hack the system of my past families intelligence information.

It is some sort of dark market or deep web for me. Never the less it gives me information I needed about my biological family.

And using the store computer will make their tracing impossible as I sneak in to their system.

Someone from my family's relative took my father's place, and from that every thing in our families line change into chaos.

They are abusive to their power, and bare no souls who doesn't follow their rules. I clenched my fist. How dare them take my father's place and mocked his previous leadership.

Kathies biological father never use his authority to abused people, infact he use it to make a better connection for each and everyone who are part of it. But it ended as the position has been taken.

Kathie look for any info related to her siblings. But still got none. So she decided to make plans out of the info she gathered and decided to stop for a while.

Bringing back the computer system and clearing all the necessary information from the hacking she did, Kathie stood up and pay for the bills. She give a brief smile to the cashier, and make her way out.

It is now 4pm, hacking did cause Kathie some time to finish.

Kathie proceed to a park near her pent house building. She arrived at the place with few people around. As the fair lady have her seat.

She look at the busy road of New York. Every one had their own life, she bet they also have demons and challenges they are facing everyday.

Her thought fled into the locker room incident. She never thought that her power will be awaken in that moment. But now her concern is about how to dealt with it. She can't even control her own power, how will she supposed to use it for her revenge.

And mostly, she fear on using it. If their bloodline family will have some clue of her existence, she will become a troubles magnet. And thats the last thing she needs, not until she finish the course.

But it seems fate have its own plan, and things sometimes get out of control. Now Nancy knows her power, even the jerk who tried to kill her friend.

Kathie look at the sky, it ease her. She bring back her attention to the busy road, down to the family that are having fun in the park.

The kid seems so happy after her dad give her some ice cream. They both laugh, as the women carried the child.  It must be her mother, Kathie smiled to the view.

I wish I had a normal life like an average people could have, she thought. While looking up at the sky again and talking to no one in particular.
