Taking My Revenge

Chapter 4 - The Past

After the fun dinner in my dad's mansion I decided to spend the night in my Penthouse, it's midnight and all I need is a nice sleep to be prepare for tomorrow, and last thing I wanted is secretly napping on my class. So I know I need beauty rest.

I stared on my ceiling as I reach my bed. I remember the old days I had with my siblings when I was a child.

Flashback

"Danny stop, if mom will know that we've been sneaking outside the house she's going to be mad at us!" I said as I follow my older brother, skipping in a secret hole on our residence garden.

It is sorrounded by bushes and trees so people doesn't know the passage existence. Not until we accidentally found it when we were playing hide and seek. Danny being Danny, use this opportunity to scape and have some fun outside our mansion. I'm just glad even our maids doesn't notice and suspect his absence.

"Stop, Ali, no one will find out, except us, and if some traitor will tell others, that would be you or me. It's another story then, and don't you want to have some fun outside sometimes?!, Geez ali, you'll enjoy it I promise" young Danny replied to Kathie, who are now excited base on its tone of speaking.

" Danny we will have lots of trouble, really, you know dad strict instructions do you?, There are bad guys outside Danny, so we need to obey our parents for us to be safe" I feel nervous to my brothers ridiculous idea of having fun. What if someone kidnap us, or if someone tried to assassinate us, oh boy I don't wanna die, young Kathie thought.

"Geez, Stop overthinking will yah, I'm here, with you, I'm not letting any bad guys hurt my sister, I'm going to protect you Ali" My brother face me and smile after we pass on the wall, and are now heading to the forest. He hold my hand while we walk side by side.

"Danny, I swear to some animated monster we watch on TV the other day, if there's something happen here, and you left me or runaway without me, I'm going to hunt your soul, and disowned you as my brother" I responded, having my stern look, my teary eyes caught his attention, as he look at me and we stop walking, I cross my hand over my chest.

"Ali, I won't do that, I swear to God, I will never turn my back on you, everythings gonna be alright ok, just give me this chance to show you something that gives me joy outside, I want to have fun with my cute little missy her, I wanna show you this and share it with you , so please will yah ?, you know, just trust me ok" Danny pat my head and shuffle my hair into a messy one.

His words comfort me, that it makes me feel at ease. I stare on his blue eyes, he got it after my mother. It calms me even more. He smile, and take my hand again as we continue our little adventure.

"I trust you Danny" I replied in a whisper. As he suddenly stopped. And turn to look at me.

"Well, here it is, we arrive at our destination" Danny said as he step aside. And what I saw is a paradise.

I did not know this part of the village exist. It's like heaven.

There's a lot of different flower, it compliments each other's color, butterflies are everywhere, as you can see the clear sky. There is even a bunny. I'm taken aback at marvelous view, it's like how it looks in some TV shows. My mouth are in agape. As I look at my brother, that are now having those smiles that reach his ears.

"Well, what do you say?" Danny ask to the little Kathie, as Kathie run excitedly to the flowers and caught some bunny.

Turning around, the young girl smile. "It's, beautiful Danny, it's just, just. Wow!!" Kathie squealed, as Danny walk on her direction.

"Told you Ali , you'll like it" he finish as he plop himself and lay unto the flowers.

"Hey !, don't destroy the flowers, they will die, if you lay down on top of them" Kathie told Danny, as Danny started giggling. Kathie just pout at his response.

"What?, Now I don't have the right to do what I want?" Danny added as he stop giggling.

"Well fine" Kathie responded as She lay down next to Danny, staring at the sky, feeling the winds blow, as Danny started tickling the young girl to erase her pouting lips.

Kathie started laughing, They both laugh. As the days goes on, they play, and spend time the whole day at that place and enjoy each other company. As the day end.

End of flashback

A tear skip on kathies cheek. As she remember Danny, her brother who always call her at her second name. And having those happy and innocent moment with him. Is one of her precious child hood memory.

"I miss you Danny", Kathie mumble, as she continues sniffing. "I wish wherever you are right now, that your in good hand, and that someday we'll find each other again" Kathie whisper,as tears keep flowing, and the sound turn into sob.

As she close her eyes,and let the darkness swallowed her into sleep. "I love you" she whisper at last, as the face of a smiling young Danny appear on her mind.

"Woah look at those fluffy eyes, is there something that happened last night that we need to know?" Nancy stated, as she walk with me in the hallway.

"Well, good morning too Nancy, and No, there is nothing that happened last night, infact, I did enjoy the night with my dad's.

Nancy frown, as she suspected the way I look first thing in the morning.

Well no doubt I cant hide things on my best friend, she can always sense if there's something going on, or if there's something that bother me, she can see through me in short.

But I never told them my story, I don't want to get them involve in my future action of revenge. The last thing I want for them, is to make their life in danger and have the same fate like my parents. There's no way I'm letting that happen. Not again.

I stop and look to Nancy so she can see I'm telling the truth, and giving her an honest answer. "Nance, I'm fine, really, you do not need to worry, maybe I just got so emotional on some Netflix movies that I watched last night that it leads me on crying, then here it is, a fluffy eye" I pointed my face as I look in her eyes, Nance look at me as if she's trying to evaluate if I'm telling the truth.

Nancy sigh at the lady stubborness, she knows her friend are doing its best to hide the truth, but she don't intend to pry in and push it. She respect Kathie as her friend, and she knows it will going to open up someday, if Kathie are ready to let her in.

"Whatever you say Kathie " Nancy said as it turned around and continue to walk.

Letting behind Kathie who are left standing alone in the hallway, the young lady roll her eyes, it might not sounds so convincing, but I'm glad she let me skip the hook Kathie thought.

"Where do you think Peter go, I haven't seen him so far Nance and it's lunch already, he isn't even replying on my text" I said while dialling Peter's number as we sit in our usual table for the day.

We know Peter can handle himself but it's unusual for him to skip pestering us for a day, he always seems having fun seeing our piss reaction on him. But we know it's his ways of showing his love, oh yeah, love that might shorten your life sometimes.

We are now waiting for him. Did he had some business to be taken care of?, But I know Peter will inform us if that so, Kathie thought while still clicking on Peter number.

15 minutes before the end of lunch, still no shadows of presence of pet. Now I'm getting nervous on what happen to that punk.

"Kathie, relax, I'm sure Peter have his valid reason why he ditch us today, stop worrying and moving your knee" Nancy told me as I'm getting impatient.

"No!" I answer and finally stood, " I can feel his in trouble Nance, and I can't take it anymore, I'm going to search for him" I said as I fix my books and things on the table, putting it inside my bag as I hop it on my shoulder.

"Geez Kath, paranoid much?" Nance giggle, she knows how worrywart I can be sometimes. But she knows that my kin of intuition are always right atleast 80% of it.

"So are you coming with me?" I said as I started walking. "Hell yeah!!, I'm not letting my best friends have their own fun without me, I can be you back up in case" Nance walk run and reach my side, as I nodded and started to think the place Peter could be found.
