Chapter 14 - Successor

Flashback

It was the night after Danny and I walk home to our Mansion.

After we play from Danny's secret place we call it a day and decided to comeback to our Mansion so people won't get suspicious.

We pass through the wall and get inside the house without people knowing.

We are having a good time while laughing in the hallway to see our dad.

When someone grab us from behind.

It's a man wearing a black suit, and his face is covered with black fabric.

We do our best to escape from his grip, Danny shouted at men as he punch him.

But it's no use. We're just a kid.

The men brought us to our parents bedroom.

They harshly put us down to the floor.

I run to my father as I saw two men pointing their gun on both of my parents head.

Anna is on the crib and is crying.

"Dad!!" I hug him tightly

Her nose has blood, while his face had bruises.

"Hi baby, calm down ok, we'll get through this" Dad said as I started crying.

As both men in a suit laugh at us.

Dad glared at both of them, but it just lead on more laughter.

I look at Danny, as His been tightly hold by the men who bring us inside the room.

"What do you want from us?" Dad said as he stand.

Mom hugged me, as she whispered.

"Honey, whatever happens I want you to know that we love all of you, Danny, you , and Anna, take care of them Kathie, I love you" she said and kissed my forehead. As a single tear escape from her eye.

I got confused, she doesn't comfort me. And by the sound of what she said, it seems good bye.

I cried more and sob.

"Mom, we'll be safe, Daddy will going to protect us" I said.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US!!, HOW DID YOU GET IN?! WHERES THE SECURITY?, DO YOU KNOW WHO'S YOUR MESSING WITH!!" Daddy shouted at both of men a they stop laughing.

"We're really aware" they answer with their deep voice.

As the sound of heels echoed, and uncle walk toward us

"Hello my brother, it's been so long" Uncle said as he look directly to our dad and stand in front of him.

He look at me and my mom, to my brother, and lastly to Anna who's crying nonstop.

He laughed.

"What's the meaning of this axel?!" Dad asked as anger showed in his eyes.

"This means, that you and your family, my dear brother, will going to die, and I, the rightful son of our family should be the one who inherit the power and wealth, not you!" Uncle said as he smiled.

"Your insane Axel!!" Dad shouted as he choke uncle using his hand.

"If I were you, you'll listen to me " uncle responded as he hold daddy's hand in his neck while struggle on breathing. And look to the men in suit.

They pointed their gun on Anna and Danny, and lastly mom and I.

Dad, seems to understand the situation as he let go of uncle.

" Now, sign this will and maybe I'll consider your family to live" uncle said and hold a paper in front of dad.

" I won't do that Axel, our father trusted me to manage and take over of all of our business." dad said

"I'll think about that" uncle said and pointed a gun on me.

As he shoot it, but it pass through me and to the wall. I shouted in fear.

" So, now will you do it then?" He said and smiled.

"Cursed! you axel!!" dad said with anger and held his pen as he signed the will.

Uncle seems to be contented, he smiled even bigger after he put the paper inside a brief case.

He turned around and walk to the exit

He stopped when he reach the door.

"Kill all of them, and let not any souls escape this room. I want them, dead"

He finished and the men nodded as uncle walk out the door.

Papa run to us and hug both me and mom.

"You'll have to get through me first before them" dad said as he use his ability.

He paralyzed the men whose holding Danny.

"Danny!, Run!" Dad said as Danny escape.

That's the last time I saw Danny as he run outside the bedroom.

Dad move the chair as he stand and drop it to one of the men near the crib, and repeated the same to other.

His fighting all of those men.

As more of them came inside the room.

Mom and I cried and tremble.

"Listen, Kathie, you're our last hope, live and find your brother. Live and protect Anna, now. GO!!" She said as she let me stand up, while both of them fight all of the men.

Mom got Anna, and hold her in her hands.

I turn around as I run to the door, when I heard a gun shot.

And with that I saw father on the floor, lying with lots of bloods, more shot of gun can be here. And my mother died in front of me.

I was froze in my position as I look at them and cry, I run to them.

"Mom!!, Dad!! Please, don't die, I need you!!, don't let me live alone!!!" I said As I kneeled infront of them.

A single tear escape my father eye.as he coughed blood.

"I love you, Kath-" he said but wasn't able to finish as a men shot his heart

"NOOOOOOOOO!!!"

I cried and cried, my vision is in blur as I look to both of my parents dead body.

Blood is all I see.

I was losing myself, and It felt hard to breathe because of me crying.

The last time I know is I've been shot at my back and lost conscious.

With despair and hatred in my heart. And longingness to my family.

They dump me on a dump site where no one could find my dead body

I was losing my hope, as I let fate handle my end.

Flashback end

"I survived from that deathful situation as I wake up from the shot, my wound has been healed, I think my ability gets helpful by the time. I get up from that dump site and walk in nowhere, I live in street in two months, just to survive I eat wasted edible food from the trash, until someone help me and took me in and later brought me to an orphanage. I was full of anger as I live, and all I want is revenge, I promise to my parents to find my siblings there is still chance that they're alive. I've been in Orphanage for many years until I met both my dad's and they adopted me, they took care of me as here I am now. But I'm still in danger because I know those people who killed my parents are still searching for me. They want me dead as I am the future Successor of Jang family for this generation. I was destined next to my father. That is why I had my power,this ability. And that is also the reason why I keep the truth from you guys, I don't want a repeat of what happened in the past, I'll lost myself if something happened to both of you because of me." I finished my story, as Nancy are now crying.

While Peter has a serious look.

"But how sure you are that they are searching for you?, They drop you dead, so that must give them assumption that your dead. So now you can have a peaceful life Kathie" Peter asked.

"They know I'm still Alive Peter, My uncle knows. I hacked their system, And I discovered they're looking for me. But My dads are doing their best to avoid their action to find me." I answered.

"So both of your dads know all of this?!" Nancy speak as she wipe her tears.

I nodded.

"Except my ability" I added

" Then why haven't they done anything to make those assholes in prison. You need justice for what they have done. I'm going to call my butler to make it then" Peter said as he walk to his door with anger in his face.

"I'll kill them for hurting you" he added.

I walk in front of him and stop him.

I look in his eyes.

" They can't do anything to help me Peter even you" I said

" They are powerful in both influence, wealth, and literally power, and I don't want you or my dads in trouble. So please Pet let me handle this by myself" I added.

He hug me.

" You have us now Kathie, you have us" he said.

I just hug him back as I pull myself.

" So your one of the missing child of Jang Family. Did you know that your parents ranked one for the most powerful Family in the world?, They had numerous connection, hell even my parents know them" Nancy said as both me and Peter take our sits.

"That's im aware of" I answered.

"So your not missing, they want you dead, and killed your family" Nancy said with shock in realization.

I nodded again.

" How did you get your supernatural power then?" Nancy asked as both of them look at me.

I put my index finger on my chin as I thought about what my dad's tell me about my ability.

"It was a long time ago, I think it had a connection with some Greek goddess. My ancestors help them and as a gift the goddess granted a power,and it's been pass in every generation, until now. I don't know if that's true though, that's what my father told me" I answered.

"Ok that's sucks" Peter answered.

"Don't you think it's awesome, all you need to do is use them to have your revenge" Nancy said

"That's the problem, I don't know how to use it" I answered.

"Well, you use it once in the locker room" Peter said.

"That's the first pet" I answered.

"Then why don't you practice ?" Nancy said

"I don't think that's a good idea, aside from it's not safe, my bloodline family might trace me" I said.

"Then how does your father control his power base on your story he also had one" Peter said.

I think before I answer, his right. but father did not tell anything about that on me.

"I don't know" I answered and we all make a deep sigh in sync.

As we laugh together.

They hug me after and comfort me.

Now I had no secrets to hide.
