I hate this place!

Anastasia's P.O.V.

As usual, I got up at four this morning to make breakfast. I'm making pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. It takes me so long to make breakfast for almost 500 people. These people eat like pigs! This morning happens to be particularly difficult...

"ANASTASIA, WHY ISN'T BREAKFAST DONE???" I hear the most high pitched annoying voice I've ever heard yell at me.

Before Phoenix became alpha a few weeks ago, he found his mate, Mary.

"I'm sorry Luna Mary, I can only cook so fast with not being allowed help. it will be done in the next 10 minutes." I rolled my eyes as I answered not thinking that she could see my face. But, I guess I was wrong because next thing I know shes standing in front of me and slapping me in my face.

"YOU WILL HAVE RESPECT WHEN YOU TALK TO ME YOU LITTLE B*TCH!! I WILL NOT TOLERATE YOUR ATTITUDE OR SARCASM!"

"Yes, Luna" I say back through gritted teeth trying to restrain myself from saying or doing anything that will cause me to get hit again. My eyes are already welling with tears from the sting of the slap. I don't want them to see me cry anymore, they've seen it to many times. They don't deserve to know how they effect me.

Once breakfast is done cooking, I set everything up buffet style so I don't have to serve everyone and can get out of the room. There is still laundry to be done, dusting, sweeping and mopping, and dishes need to be done after everyone finishes breakfast.

The laundry room is my place of comfort right now, nobody comes in here but e unless it is to yell at me or hit me some more. As soon as I am in the laundry room, I cant hold back the tears anymore. They are rolling down my face in fat streams.

"Why did the moon goddess curse me with this life???? Why did my parents have to leave me so soon?? I just want to be happy!!"

Apparently Alpha Phoenix had made it to the dining room and Luna Mary complained to him about me rolling my eyes. As soon as I had said that I heard him behind me.

"You ungrateful b*tch! My family took you in when your parents died. You have a roof over your head and you still complain? You have some nerve!"

"I wasn't complaining! I rolled my eyes at your stupid mate!" I yelled back at him.

I regretted yelling back at him and my choice of words as soon as they left my lips. I felt his fist connect with my face seconds later.

"You dare disrespect my mate, your Luna in front of me?? I'll teach you better than that! I'll make you regret you were ever born you good for nothing b*tch!"

He rained blow after blow down on me and kicked me in the stomach. I felt when my nose broke and when a few of my ribs cracked. He finally stopped with one more kick to my stomach.

"I don't want to see you for the rest of the day. You will not eat today and you are to stay in your room. If I hear of you leaving that room even once, you will be punished more."

Good. I get out of my chores for the rest of the day and can have time to myself. I can use the time to make a plan. Little does he know, he wont see me tomorrow or ever again after right now.
