Behind her, a man’s gaze turned dark, pinning her like a hunter locking onto prey. Liesel Winters took a deep breath and stated firmly, “Yes, two people owing nothing!” She bent down, picking up the clothes scattered on the floor, and headed into the bathroom. When she came back out, Joel Schott was already gone. She grabbed her phone and left the room. As she walked through the corridor and was about to step into the elevator, a hand suddenly caught her slender arm. She turned, meeting a familiar gaze. "Anthony!" "What are you doing here?" "Sorry, I didn’t see your SOS message right away,” Anthony said, breathless, clearly in a hurry. "It’s okay. Thank you for getting my grandmother out of the Winters' house." Liesel’s voice was sincere as her gaze swept over his soaked clothes.
