CHAPTER 13
I didn’t see or hear from Nick for the next couple of weeks. I worked almost every day at the bakery to keep busy and prevent myself from thinking about Nick, so between working and preparing to graduate, I was a busy lady.
Lily and I decided to keep the Nick-and-Rosie saga between us, and not tell my mother. And we had to talk to Troy and make sure he didn’t open his big mouth either. Once that boy got talking, there was no stopping him.
Since my graduation was happening later in the week, on Thursday to be exact, Mom had me make the cookie dough for Alisha’s cookies and get them cut out and put in the fridge so that they were ready to be baked. On Wednesday, she had me bake them and flood-ice all the cookies, so that they could dry the next day while we were at my graduatio
