The next morning, I woke up, having endured the worst night of sleep I had ever had. I’d tossed and turned all night, wondering if I was making a good decision by going on this trip alone. I wondered if I’d remembered to pack everything and kept checking my list to see if I packed everything. Then eventually, my brain would go to Nick. I wondered where he was, what he was doing, or if he missed me at all.
