CHAPTER 9
Nick texted me the next morning, while I was still laying in bed, asking how I was doing and how my hand was. I let him know that I was just fine and thanked him for his concern. He replied back with a winky-face emoji, which I had no idea how to interpret it and, so, I decided to not respond and jumped out of bed.
I headed straight for the bathroom to get ready, and was startled to find Lily and Troy asleep on the couch. When we all got home last night, I only talked to the two of them for a minute and then went into my own room to sleep. I figured that Troy was going to head home after dropping us off and making sure we were okay. I definitely didn’t expect him to still be on my couch on a Saturday morning.
