The first two days were woozy, I slipped in and out of consciousness. I remember one time I came around, and could hear someone sobbing, I couldn’t identify the person, for I soon had slipped back. When I woke again the room was empty. All of my body ached, and my back felt sore. I tried to sit up but couldn’t manage it, I couldn’t move my neck either, for it hurt something fierce. I could see the IV bag, held up over me, the steady beeping of a machine could be heard and the place smelled of iodine. A hospital then. It explains the disorientation and aches.
