The Party!

I finally lifted my head up towards my closet and decided to wear something formal for the dinner. I wore a black tasseled short body navy blue dress that had black beads and tassels hanging down of it. I did my hair pretty with low hanging curls on my now long grown hair and and applied a light makeup I looked down at the lipsticks placed in front of me. I had an option for a nude, pink or a red one. I went for a nude one but something hit my mind and I felt being rebellious. I picked up a red one and smudged my lips making sure they popped out. I gave myself one last look in the mirror. "Oh God I look like a p********e. But a rich one. I mean the ones that are designated for rich people.", I said to my own self looking at the mirror. I looked at my reflection again, heaved a sigh and pondered on the way I looked. I hadn't given myself much attention in the past few years and I realised how badly I needed to focus on myself as well. I looked down at my body and heaved another sigh. My boobs were basic, they didn't popped out like Elizabeth's inappropriate night glace brothel cleavage. My hair were now long falling up till the end of the small of my back. They weren't long because I wanted them to grow but because I didn't had the time to look after them and get them trim My face was.... Well basic! But I guessed I enjoyed that. I picked up my purse and passed down the hall room towards the main exit. A limousine was waiting for me to sit inside. As I was about to sit something caught my attention. Shit! I opened the car the door and dropped my bag down. "I'll be right back in a minute.", I announced screamingly and went back inside. Running on my heels I came to my room and picked up the damn ring! If only I wouldn't have worn it, Brandon would've got another opportunity to be mad at me. And I wasn't going to give him anymore chances to get mad at me. I finally went and sat in the limousine. I expected to be alone but surprisingly I had company. It felt like being in a Godfather movie. Suddenly everything went brown for me. Brandon sat in front of me holding a glass whiskey in his hand. He had a thin mustache adding much to his muscularity and power with a single strand of hair rolled and glued on his forehead with the rest of his hair sleeked back. Rosita sat next to him, wearing a sexy slutty gown, with her hair blonde all rolled up in curls, wearing red lipstick, holding down a cigar for Brandon the Godfather, popping out her cleavage, massaging Brandon's muscles and whispered s*x in his ears as she moved her hand up and down his crotch. Jean sat on the side seats holding down a pad in his hand. Wearing rimmed glasses as he seemed to be the intel of the mafia gang leader. It felt like they were here to play a part of an interrogation with me. I felt Brandon would grab a gun and either make me take the deal or the bullet. "Ms. Cole?", Jean shook me out of my mafia thoughts. "Are you listening to me ma'am?", He asked in a polite tone. "Of course yes. Ppffftt... Of course. What else do you think I'm doing?", I made a goofy face trying to sound obvious. "Obviously lost somewhere!", Rosita pointed out. She wore a purple dress that ended right below her torso and her cleavage dance with only her n*****s hidden. She could've sat right next to Jean but no! She had to sit with Brandon! Who wore a creamy blue sleek suit and had the upper buttons of his shirt opened revealing a part of his toned chest. His hair were sleeked into a puff with his beard showing off a little giving him a chivalry look for any woman to twist her panties off. What the hell am I even thinking? I immediately diverted my gaze off his sexy body that was giving me sinful and inappropriate thoughts. "So Ms. Cole... Here's the thing. The dinner at our farmhouse has been upgraded to an in-house party.", Jean smiled trying to rationalize things. "Are you kidding me? Why wasn't I informed?", I sounded furious. "It was Mr. Mayor's decision to make it an engagement party for close friends and family that weren't previously invited at the official mayoral announcement party and of course..." "What's the point?", I cut him off asking him to directly come to the point. "Well... We needed to get a story for the two of you to get going with.", Jean offered and I cued him to continue. I looked at Rosita who shifted her legs for one side like to another flashing me off her thongs. I diverted my wide eyed gaze at the seen of what I just saw. "Mr. Mayor and you met back in Miami, once or twice and you guys did spend sometime together but you didn't feel like this relationship was ever going to work.", Jean began. I looked at Brandon while Jean briefed me but he was busy in his phone looking at something more important to him. "By you, you mean Brandon and I both right? We both felt the same thing about this relationship?", I said on purpose looking over at Brandon and grabbing his attention. He flinched as he typed something into his phone and stopped to listen attentively yet still looking down at his phone. "It means only you.", Rosita butted in, infuriating me. "Did I ask you?", I blurted out harshly not caring how rude I may have came out as. She shut up at my imbecile attack. "Well... It's just a story that people will not be very much concerned about.", Jean continued. "I am.", I added. "Okay so you both weren't sure about this relationship.", Jean continued pacing the topic forward. He looked at Brandon who didn't bother enough to look at me and continued typing into his phone. Had he even look at me? Did he even notice the red lipstick? "Well... Then Mr. Mayor came back to Cherwood where he was obliged to get married before the age of twenty five. He didn't had much option but to give into his parent's choice that was Ms. Elizabeth Paige.", Jean bridged the lie. "Of course!", I scoffed at the mention of Elizabeth. I sensed Brandon's ear and attention at my words but he glued his eyes at the phone. His jaw was clenched given to his annoyance and anger because of my behaviour at that moment. "Well then... You came to Cherwood on your father's insistence. And here you guys met again and here you're getting married on Sunday now.", Jean finished cheerily. For someone his stature and looks, he didn't seem to fit in the job of a secretary. He was handsome, like young, smart, tall and good looking handsome. His physique was built up and muscular. His clean shaven face was also a point of attraction in his entire features. "And people are extremely stupid to not to notice the timeline?", I asked him. "Well... Given that Mr. Mayor's engagement to Ms. Paige called off near to your engagement so people would somehow not care enough when two people are in love.", Jean said clapping his hand together speaking mythically. I rolled my eyes at his words, "Ironical!" I already felt mist in my eyes as I realised that Brandon didn't even bother looking at me and I specially wore a black dress to look pretty and impress him that I wasn't always up for looking clumsy and being the stupid of his dictionary definition. "What did you just say?", I heard Brandon say as I looked at him with vengeful tone. I gulped down hard realising that I said ironical out loud. "Ah... Umm... Nothing.", I said smiling out towards him. "Besides I wasn't informed about the party. I could've worn something else.", I complained shifting the topic. "You look okay.", Brandon said surfing back into his phone not even bothering to look at me and boiling my blood. Okay? I underwent an entire princess dairies makeover and he thinks I look okay? Asshole! "Maybe I would've been informed if I had a phone that communicates.", I complained irrelevantly channeling my anger out look for points in my reference for argument diary. "Your phone does communicate.", Brandon added now looking at me. "To two numbers that I don't feel like communicating with.", I argued back. "Well... This is what you get. Life's full of disappointments. Now shut up!", He said rendering my astonished at his crude shouting words. "Asshole!", I said out loud and I knew his eyes were digging holes in me with anger. Jean and Rosita both had their mouths shut and were rather endangered for my life that Brandon might as well rip me into two halves at my courage to say that to him in front of his employees. But he said himself... Life is full of disappointments. So I gave him a little dose of his own medicine. Throughout the rest of the drive whenever I'd look at Brandon I'd see him stare at me with piercing eyes. He was ready to kill me any moment. Of course Thee who insults the grace of majesty shall thee die. Right? Well for a point I thought maybe I wanted his attention and perhaps now I was getting the deadly out of it. Soon the car came to an halt and Brandon was the first one to move out through his door. I went outside from mine and we both stood facing each other. The most hitting thing about his look is that it stayed glued to my eyes. That kind of scared me. He diverted his gaze and walked inside. "Ah... Mr. Mayor.", Jean called out making him stop. "With Ms. Cole please.", He added as Brandon gave him a deadly stare. I immediately walked besides him and grabbed his left arm in my right, looking up at him standing in an extremely close distance. "Let's go in?", I said with shaky voice trying to show that he has no effect on me but I could tell that I failed horribly. "You're lucky I can't kill you.", Brandon whispered lowly into my ear as we made our way inside. I had chills all over my body as I felt a wave of terror and shock rushed inside me at his words. See, he'll always be the guy who'll hate you and force you! I felt myself crying but I gulped down the lump of tears in my throat. The house was busting with music. "How come this is an adult in-house party?", I asked looking over at Jean, knowing that Brandon would obviously ignore my questions. The last time I was to a party was for celebration of wall Street sink state where everybody inside a house gathered and ate pizza and argued whether or not pineapples should be illegal to be used as a toping for pizzas. "Well.... Well... Well... Welcome to the bride and groom to be.", A heavy male voice called out making me look at the short structured male standing at a distance wearing a purple button down opened at the front with a pair of block jean shorts. He had a lose floral necklace hanging down his neck. He had his belly untoned yet still he looked cute with his appearance. "Congratulations buddy.", He walked near Brandon who let go off my arm to hug the weirdly dressed convent. "This must be Amy. Dude she's pretty.", He said looking at me as soon as he let go off Brandon. He extended himself at me. "I bet this douche didn't tell you about me?", He asked looking between me and Brandon. I shook my head in response. "Well I'm Dexter. This douche's buddy from college.", He extended his hand with a warm smile and I felt flattered at his warmness. "Amy.", I smiled at him. "Of course I know who you are. But I don't just understand how this douche ended up with a fine lady like you. I mean look at you.", He said assessing me head to toe making me conscious of myself. "Well...", I began to process the lie that Jean fed me with in the car. "We just reconnected.", Brandon interrupted as he stood off with Dexter. "Well Mr. Mayor said we didn't need to specify the story with everyone.", Jean added as I was left hanging to nothing. I made my way inside and realised that the house was filled with dancing and drunk adults. I guessed people just need reasons to get drunk for nothing. I realised that everyone was wearing light pedestal clothes. With guys mostly wearing shorts and girls wearing beach dresses. Girls had floral tiaras with boys having floral chains hanging down their necklines. Some guys weren't even bothered to wear a shirt. I looked at Jeremy with a c****d eyebrow. "Everyone decided to make it a theme party.", He stated smiling out and I detected his fakeness. I c****d him an eyebrow raising it way higher than it's normal capacity. "You're intimidating.", He stated looking at me. "And yes it was a theme party but you guys were supposed to come dressed all formal." "And since when it was decided to be a theme party?", I asked him with the same expression. "Since the past two days, I guess.", He stated knowing that he was done for life if it were for his boss. "Only if I had a phone that communicates.", I complained. "Amy... Hey!", I heard a woman call out and saw Hazel waving at me. I went near her as she stood right next to grandma who wore a sleeveless silk purple button down and had her hair fallen down to her shoulders. She had a small floral tiara on her head making her look extremely cute. I saw the Margarita in her hand. "Oh no... This is not happening.", I grabbed the glass out of her hands. "What the hell prude?", She almost hissed at me signifying that she was already drunk. "You look beautiful.", Hazel said as she eyed me head to toe. Finally.... Someone thinks I look good! "Thank you. You guys look cute.", I told her and as she stepped onto my foot I realised that she was quite already drunk. I felt a hand over my shoulder. I turned around to see Fel standing holding a small box in her hands. I leaped her into a hug. "Grandma...", I turned around and called my drunk Grandma to introduce her to Fel, about whom I ranted for hours to her. "This is Fel." "Hey! Could you get me another drink? This prude won't let me drink.", She spatted onto my face making Fel laugh, leaving me in an awkward situation. "She's a little less cranky when she's not drunk.", I announced making my way out of the crowd taking Fel with me. "I brought this for you.", Fel smiled handing me over the box. We stood at the balcony near the stairs that led directly outside the house, downstairs. "Aww... Thanks.", I smiled accepting the box. It was a rectangle box and I shook it as it made a crinkling sound. "You really didn't had to.", I told her looking at her and realising I was deceiving everyone with lies that I was building up for a purpose I wasn't even fulfilling. I heard someone clearing their throat and I turned around to see Connor standing wearing a pair of shorts and a grey tee shirt. I got extremely excited by looking at him as I went ahead and leaped into a hug. "Congratulations.", He whispered handing me over a small rectangular wrapped up gift. It felt like a frame or something of sort. I thanked him realising that the situation is extremely awkward. I saw Connor looking over my shoulder at towards Fel. "I'll just go and see Kevin.", He said making his way towards the inside. As soon as he was gone I knew the awkwardness of the entire situation that still tinged in the atmosphere. "We should go inside and see Kevin and Laura.", Fel announced faking an enthusiasm that came out with a cracked voice. I felt her eyes misty that she tried drying with her fingers. "Fel?", I stopped her as I placed the gifts aside. "Are you okay with him around here? I mean are you sure?" "I have to be.", She said assuring herself. "If you felt like leaving at any point. Know that I'll always support you.", I assured her with a smile. She smiled bracing me into a tight hug. "Actually... I wanted to ask you something.", Fel said as we broke our brace. "Yeah? What is it?", I asked her. "Are you sure that this engagement and this marriage are under normal circumstances? I mean... This entire thing? Are you sure it's with your consent?", She asked looking me straight into my eyes. At a point I wanted to reflect and my heart felt out speaking and telling her everything. But again everything from the lies to threat, reflected in front of my eyes before I could say or speak anything. "What? Why... Why would you say that?", I asked her faking a smile. "Because Amy, I know you. And I know when you're making it and when you're faking it. Besides I heard something that made me suspicious. So please trust me and tell me if anyone's forcing you.", She asked holding down my arms for supporting me. My wounded heart had already started bleeding with guilt. She cared for me and there I was deceiving her. "We should go inside. Everyone must be looking for me.", I lied diverting my gaze as I couldn't lie anymore to her. I made my way inside and a huge crowd surrounded me. I sensed Fel following me but I wanted to ignore her and her questions. There was something definitely big that she heard to be suspicious enough to question me. "Where were you?", Brandon asked appearing in the crowd daunting me with his tone. "I... I was...", I felt out of words at everything that was revolving in my head, spinning my thoughts. "Are you okay?", Brandon asked looking at my blown expressions and my condition. But him asking about my conditions took me off guard, I'd never expected him to say that to me. Before I could tell him what was wrong with me, a hand grabbed Brandon's shoulder making him turn towards him as I stepped ahead matching Brandon's spot. A girl stood in front of us. She was short, wearing a tight red latex off shoulder dress that covered down until her torso and had two slits revealing her thighs at the sides. Her short hair covered her forehead and added more to her sharp features. With her blue eyes being prominent due to her dark hair. The saucy lipstick remarked her beauty. Well too much to think that red is a rebellious color. "Hey Bee.", She said to Brandon leaning in and hugging him tightly. She looked at me looking at them over his shoulder as she straightened herself and diverted her gaze towards me. "You must be Amy, Bee's fiancé. I'm Shelly. B's old friend.", She offered her hand. Shelly! The name instantly hit me! She was the bombshell that everyone was huffing about the other day at my unfortunate stop at McDonald's. I took in her hand faking a smile. She eyed me all head to toe and a smile crept on her lips, definitely happy with the way I look. Of course I was a no match to her. Perhaps people were right. Why would Brandon choose me over her. "Come on! Bee are we gonna just stand here or you going to dance or something?", She grabbed Brandon's hand and dragged him along to the middle of the dance floor. A gush of rage and fury hit me, running inside m veins, boiling my blood. Fuck Shelly! As I was about to move away a felt a hand stopping my way around my waist. I turned around to see Dr. Chase standing, giving off his vicious smile. He wore shorts from the morning but yet he seemed to be shirtless. "Hey Beautiful. Why are you standing here alone?", He asked as he drank from his glass. "I.... I... Was going to meet a friend.", I came up with an instant lie to jug him off, "And you've seemed to lost your shirt.", I pointed out at his toned and muscular body so that he'll cover it up. The party was getting wild by every passing second. "Yeah... Some girls said that it didn't look good on me.", He said leaning in and saying out loud in my ear over the loud music. "Come on let's dance." And before I could say anything he simply grabbed my hand and walked me towards the dance floor where everyone was going all crazy already. I tried maintaining a distance between me and Chase but he seemed to fill that gap in by making inappropriate moved towards me. My eyes caught the glimpse of Brandon and Shelly. There was a group of people who cornered them and hooted as Shelly practically threw herself on Brandon. She had her right leg all the way up around Brandon's side as she roamed her hand around his open shirt on his chest. My heart pierced into millions of pieces at the sight. I shouldn't be affected this way! It's wrong on every level. I shouldn't be effected by this. He could do whatever he wants. This is not a real relationship. In fact he should definitely do whatever he wants. I continued moving sideways to Chase who was trying to get his hands on me with every once in a while move he made. I tried but couldn't help but notice Brandon and Shelly who was now giving him a lap dance, boiling my blood even more furiously. I felt Chase creep his hand on my waist as he pulled me closer. I felt uncomfortable at his touch. The crowd was gathering around and Chase was taking advantage of this opportunity to close the distance between us until I felt his breath on my face. I looked up to him and saw him smirking. "You're so hot.", He whispered lowly into my ear making a chill run down my spine at his uncanny words. I tried pushing his hands off but he kept it firmly glued to my waist. "I just... I should just go. Fel must be looking for me.", I said trying to push him off me. "No she's not. She's there talking to some guy.", He said pointing at a direction. I followed his direction and saw Fel talking to a guy in a dark corner. The disco lights moved to reveal the face of the guy who was Connor. I felt Chase slowly moving his hands up and down my body as he finally rested them on my butt. "Okay this is it!", I furiously stated pushing his hands away with force off my body. "Woah! What happened? Come on we're just enjoying.", He stated making my blood boil. "Go to hell. Find someone else.", I stated making my way out. I could feel my cheeks red flushing with anger and embarrassment. On my way out I saw Brandon who was now looking at me whilst the skimp Shelly rubbed her butt against his crotch. His coat was off and the buttons to his shirt were entirely open revealing his toned abs. I felt tears escaping down my eyes at the sight of that. I finally went into the balcony and fanned my face with my hands, breathing in deeply and drying away the tears. "Why are you marrying him?", A voice broke my stance.
