We were suddenly surrounded by over fifty warriors, and that slippery b***h escaped into her car and drove away before I could stop her. Antonio, placed an arm around me protectively, and tried to de-escalate the situation, but it was clear that there would be none of that. I shifted beside him, and my Wolf began to tear into the warriors without warning or waiting for my vampire partner to join me. He looked stunned, but suddenly pulled a silver chain whip out of nowhere and began lashing into the warriors beside me. We worked our way together out of the center of the circle until we had enemies only on one side of us. There were only about twenty left, when I felt a searing pain tear into my shoulder, and when I looked, an arrow stuck in grotesquely.
