A NEW FRIEND
Valentina clapped her hands. “Attention everyone. Attention.” Isabella turned to a blank page in her notebook, eager for the day’s lesson. Valentina waited for the students to quieten down, then continued. “Today we’ll be exploring an array of fabrics and the types of fabrics that go with particular designs. We’ve got a range of fabrics on that table in the back.” She pointed. “And we’ll discuss all of them while you get a feel for the material. The theme here is to get an idea of the types of fabrics that match certain kinds of designs. You’ll be learning about synthetics, cottons, woollens, acrylics, and the list goes on.”
