MILAN FASHION WEEK
February, 1973
Elena’s chest rose, her heart palpitated, and her mouth went dry as she clapped to the beating sounds of an R&B track. It was Milan Fashion Week, and Valentina had invited the students over to these fashion shows to take notes, critique trends, and watch models who would be trying on their own collections.
Valentina had explained how Milan Fashion Week was partially organised by the National Chamber for Italian Fashion, which was a non-profit organisation that marketed Italian fashion and hosted these fashion events and Milan shows. The shows were held twice a year in Milan with both an autumn/winter event in February/March and a spring/summer event in September/October.
