Edward's POV
My heart stopped for a moment as hope that maybe, just maybe, Melanie would be calling me back, bloomed in my chest, but that hope died as fast as it was born as I saw the name flash on my screen.
It was Judith.
For a few seconds, I just stared at the name on the screen. I didn't really want to pick it up, but I did because I knew she would call until I picked up.
"Yes..."
"You answered... I called so many times... I was so worried... are you okay where are you?"
"I'm... I'm okay I guess..."
"Edward, I was so worried about you."
