I had packed my bag hastily, I didn't want to be in this house any longer than I needed to. Without saying goodbye to any of the Alpha Brothers, not even Oris who I had the strongest connection to, I left.
Reliving the memory of seeing Oris shaking his head at me, the disappointment in his eyes as I had failed the Pack yet again, that would haunt me for a long time. I had never wanted to fail anyone, especially Oris. I had grown fond of him, maybe even developed feelings toward him. But it is over now.
I decided to take my journey back through the forest which met the Summer Pack House, so instead of taking the shortcut through their garden, I went around the long way to the entrance of the trees.
