Chapter 2: The First Meeting

804 Words
I walked into the living room and saw my family all dressed up and waiting for me. My dad smiled proudly at me, while my brothers looked impressed. Even Cathy, my mom, seemed surprised by my appearance. "Dang, Sanjay! You clean up nicely!" Daniel exclaimed, giving me a thumbs up. I blushed and thanked him, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness for the upcoming dinner with my potential soulmate. We all got into the car and drove to the restaurant where we were meeting our guests. As we entered, I spotted my dad's friend standing near the entrance with his son. He looked confident and successful, just like my dad had described. I took a deep breath and walked up to them, introducing myself with a smile. The guy, whose name was Rahul, :) he was f****g handsome! Greeted me warmly and we started chatting. Surprisingly, we hit it off almost immediately, finding common interests and shared goals. Throughout the evening, I couldn't help but notice my dad's proud expression as he watched us interact. It was as if he had seen something special between us already. As the night went on, Rahul and I continued to bond and get to know each other. The initial awkwardness faded away, and we found ourselves enjoying each other's company more and more. By the end of the night, I couldn't deny that there was chemistry between us. Though I still had reservations about getting into a serious relationship at this point in my life, I had to admit that Rahul seemed like a great guy. And if my dad saw something in him, maybe there was more to this potential match than I initially thought. As we said our goodbyes and headed back home, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and uncertainty about what the future held. Would Rahul and I continue to pursue a relationship? Only time would tell. But for now, I was grateful for the experience and for having such a supportive family by my side. No matter what happened, I knew they would always be there for me, guiding me through life's ups and downs. And so, as I laid in bed that night, I couldn't help but wonder what the future had in store for me and Rahul. But one thing was for certain - our journey was just beginning. Jemmie's POV: Urgh!!!
