“Alpha!” I snapped my head to see everyone staring at me and Fallon – in particular – was looking a bit worried. I turned my head again and it had been at least an hour since I let my mind wander off.
I cleared my throat. “What?” I asked, not letting my voice betray me while my eyes found the healer.
“Miss, your friend is aw–” I heard the healer say, but I had bolted before he could finish his sentence. I’ll find her with my nose. I sniffed a bit and found her in a second. All my friends died that day. I made new ones in my warriors and with her constant pushing and now I have to see her in a hospital bed…because of me. I should have been firmer or something?
