A sudden bang! echoes through the room as a gunshot rings out. Along with it comes Jack’s painful scream. I immediately turn toward him, the bullet has hit him straight in the leg. He collapses onto the ground, writhing in pain, his face twisted in agony.
My heart starts pounding loudly…
Slowly, I turn back, Alexander is standing there… a terrifying rage burning in his eyes. The gun is still in his hand.
I break down… tears stream down my face, and without thinking, I run into Alexander’s arms.
Jack, still in pain and fury, shouts, “You bastard! How dare you!”
Before he can say anything more, a bodyguard steps forward and kicks him hard in the head. Jack instantly loses consciousness. The other bodyguards drag him away.
