Back home, I watched the comments keep rolling and laughed coldly. A: [Give him a break! People change! You two were meant to be together!] B: [You still love him. Why throw away eight years over one mistake?] C: [Relationships are about give and take! You don't have to be so harsh!] I turned the comments off and texted my old friend, Diana, who was visiting from out of town. Nova: Drinks? My treat! Diana: Absolutely. ***** Half an hour later, we sat in the corner of a quiet bar with two tequilas. Diana nudged me and lowered her voice. "Nova, isn't that Mara? Can't she keep her hands to herself?" I looked over. Liam leaned against the bar, and Mara was pressed so close to him, they were almost one person. She traced patterns on his chest with her finger. He didn't push her away.
