Mr. and Ms. Arrogant

Luca overtakes

Luca was in rage when he reached his office. The whole staff were trembling when they saw Luca. He called Zack, his personal secretary and scolded him 

Luca: “What did you prepare for the presentation. How come we couldn’t get the project which you know was a huge success if we had got it. Call the entire team who was responsible for the project. I want them to be present in the conference hall asap, and you pack your bags and stuff because this will be your last meeting and day in my office.” Zack felt like Luca had struck him with lighting rod. He left the room silently. Within 10 minutes he came to Luca and told everybody is in the hall. Luca’s anger had subsided by then. Everybody stood with trembling feet when they saw Luca.

Luca: “As you all know, we lost the Banking Bot project to our rivals Techtronic. Now among you who will take the responsibility of making such a clumsy presentation and dared to give it to me to present before them.” Everybody was silent. 

Zack: “Sir, I take responsibility because it was me who saw the presentation and approved it. I didn’t thought to consult with you before taking the final decision. For that I am really sorry.” Everybody, except Luca gasped hearing Zack. Luca saw the tensed and astonished face of everybody. He knew they love and respect Zack more than him, they all only have fear in Luca.

Luca: “From now onwards this team can forget they have a family or home because you all will be working day and night here. Make a perfect working banking bot prototype within 3 weeks. At the end I will inspect it and if I find the prototype perfectly working and according to our standards you all can continue to work here. Otherwise get ready to find job elsewhere. Zack you are the team leader of this project and it’s your responsibility to make it successful. If you fail again I will make sure this will be your last job. Am I clear.” They all nodded yes and Luca dispersed the meeting. Zack didn’t leave, he stood there waiting for Luca’s permission. Luca didn’t know why he was waiting for

Zack: “Sir, should I stay or leave. You early said I should leave the office today.” It was then Luca remembered he had fired Zack.

Luca: “I am giving you one more chance because everybody respects you more than me. This is your final chance to prove you are capable to work under pressure and bring me an excellent prototype within 3 weeks. So for now you’re safe and join the team.”

Chinnu was staying at Paul’s home. She was slowly regaining her health. She noticed one thing that Paul’s mom didn’t like her at first. She was watching her like an eagle. She noticed that Chinnu didn’t try to seduce or flirt with Paul then only she started to talk with her friendly. Chinnu soon became everybody’s favourite. It took one week for her to walk without any help. Chinnu was missing her home and told Paul to take her back. But he didn’t listen to her.

Paul: “You will stay here till you are fully fine and fit. Mom also doesn’t matter you staying here. I have hired people to investigate who was following you. So now relax and let me take care of my star employee.” Chinnu started to work on the project and Paul also helped her when she wasn’t able to do something. She didn’t know Luca also started to work on the same project and is ahead of her design. Zack and his team was working so hard that they really forgot about their family. All they had in their mind was about the design and structure of the prototype they have to present before Luca.

Luca was sitting in his office. He took the chain in his hand which was on his neck and played with the ring on the chain. It was the 9th death anniversary of Janice. He was glad that he never saw her lifeless body, because where ever he thinks about her only her happy and smiling face appears before him. He was feeling pain in his heart. Never once he has visited her grave in these years because for him, his Janice has never left him. When Debbie gave him the ornaments of Janice, he took her chain and put her engagement ring as locket and wore it on his neck and placed it near his chest. He never removed it from his neck and never removed his ring from his finger. Whenever he is tensed he touches the ring and feel relaxed feeling Janice is standing near him and giving him power to overcome all difficulties.

Revati was also disturbed. She was sitting in her room watching her mumma’s photo on her phone. Few drops of tears fell on the screen. Paul came and saw Revati crying, he got tensed 

Paul: “What happened Chinnu, why are you crying.”

Revati: “Today is mumma’s 9th death anniversary. I am missing her so much. I wished if she was alive she would be the happiest woman in the world seeing my success. She always supported me no matter what I do.” Her phone rang and she saw it was Arjun.

Arjun: “Hi Chinnu, how are you. I know you are crying that’s why I called you so that you won’t feel lonely today. So how is your hand, when will you return to your home. Did they find who was following you.”

Revati: “Hi uncle I am fine. Thanks for calling because I was feeling so lonely. Paul has sent men to find who was the guy. I don’t know why they are following me.”

Arjun: “Chinnu be alert and take care of yourself. Don’t go to home until you’re fully fine. What if the guy come and attack you. You can’t defend yourself in this condition.” She never thought about it. She agreed to stay with Paul till her hand heals completely. Tessa (Paul’s mom) liked Revati that she would instruct maids to take care of her every needs. Revati was enjoying Tessa’s care that she felt like her mumma was taking care of her. Paul also was relieved to see his mom likes Revati and now there is no obstacle for him to marry Revati once she gives him green signal. He was ready to wait till Revati say yes to him. 

The guy was watching Revati daily and waited for her to leave and go to her home. One day he got a message ‘Go to her home and search every nook and corner of the house. I will mail you the thing you need to find in her home.’ Later an image of flash drive appeared on his phone. ‘Search the same flash drive and bring it to me.’ The guy left there and went to her home. He broke the door and entered the home. He started to throw things here and there. He searched every corner every and didn’t find the flash drive. He was going to leave when he heard some one at the door. 

Stranger: “Chinnu are you there. How is your arm. Hello is there anybody.” Getting no response from inside he went back to his home. The guys exited the home and ran away.

After three weeks Chinnu went to the hospital. The doctor removed the plaster and sling. He told her to exercise her arm so that her arm will be ready within days. When she came to her home she saw the door was broke and all her things were throw all over the place. Paul called the police and they came and investigated the scene. They asked if Revati had any enemies, she said no. The police registered her complaint and told her they will investigate the incidents.

Zack and his team finally completed the prototype and submitted to Luca. He checked the project and was impressed by the work. Now the prototype must be tested. Luca called one of his clients and told him about the project. He was all ear and agreed to purchase the bot. When Luca’s client agreed to test his prototype he was half relaxed. He send his men to the office and told them to take the bot and install in his clients computer and rectify any bugs from the prototype. The client liked the project and agreed to install it. Zack was relieved that finally he can have some time with his family and friends since it’s been three weeks since he met them.

Chinnu and her team was working hard on the prototype when they got the news of Luca’s prototype type being installed and was approved by the project leader. It was a huge blow for Chinnu which she didn’t dreamt that Luca would go behind her back and complete a project to defeat her and make her a loser in front of the world. She was so angry that she rushed from her office and drove her car like a lunatic to Luca’s office. She was tackling everybody who tried to stop her from going to Luca’s room. Luca saw her from his CCTV  and was waiting for her to come to his office.

Revati: “How dare you good for nothing do such a cheap stunt to gain victory by cheating. You know we were working on the project and it was me who won the project.” Luca was watching her like she was a doll. He was amazed to see how she was fighting his guards and entered his room. Till now no one has entered his room without his permission. Revati not only entered his room without his permission but also was shouting and swearing at him. He slowly stood and went near her. Revati was ready to attack him if he tried to do anything to her. Luca went to the door and locked it. Revati was scared to know that she was trapped inside Luca’s office. Luca went near her. Revati tried to punch Luca which he blocked and gave a tight slap on Revati’s face. She lost her balance and fell down. 

Luca: “How dare you entered my office like this. Nobody dared to barge into my office and yell at me. But you broke my rules and do you think I will let you go out so easily.” He grabbed her hair and pulled her up. She again tried to punch him but he blocked all her attempts. He threw her on the sofa in his office. She hit her head on the corner and blood start to ooze from her forehead. She hold her head and tried to get up. It was first time Revati was feeling helpless, till now she had defeated all her enemies, but Luca was stronger than her. 

Luca poured a glass of water and gave it to Revati. She refused it first but he gave it to her by force and told her to drink. He took the first aid box and took some antiseptic liquid on the cotton ball and cleaned her wound. The liquid was stinging her wound, but she suppressed her whimpers. Luca took a bandage and put it over wound. During the fight Luca’s chain came outside his shirt. Revati saw the ring on the chain and knew it was Janice’s engagement ring. Some unknown feelings rushed inside her mind.

Luca: “Now about the project, I was well prepared and was the right candidate for the project, but you came and convinced the committee that you are more capable than me. I told my team to help me to build my dream project within three weeks. It was their hard work that made us proud to submit a successful banking bot before you started to design it.” Revati felt like Luca was pouring acid into her heart. She silently went out of his office. One set of eyes was watching her from the lobby. She went to her car and drove back to her office. When she drove out a few minutes later she saw a Car following her, when she slowed the car behind her slowed. When she went fast the guy would gain speed. She drove very fast and reached her office. The guy lost her in a traffic signal. She told Paul the whole incident and he informed the police about it. The guy went to her her home and waited there for Revati.
