Chapter Twenty- Nine

Mae sat on the floor just crying her eyes out. She wished they would understand she didn't want them to die just to get away from them. While at the same time she wasn't even sure if she wanted to leave them anyway. They were going to make her their Luna, that was all she ever wanted from them. And she completely blew her chances.

All over a misunderstanding. There was a small knock at the door. When she opened it there was a tray of food as promised. She really wasn't hungry but figured she may as well try and eat. She picked away at the food taking small bites.

She wasn't sure how much time had passed but the door opened to Ace standing there.

" Let's go home" he told her as he instantly walked away from her.

She stumbled behind him trying to keep up with his pace. Once they made it downstairs to the limo they both got inside of it. It was just the two of them.

" Where's the others?" Mae asked him quietly.

" Kai walked, Max got Alyssa to drive him to her place" Ace told her.

" Please believe me I really had no idea he wanted you dead. I wouldn't have even entertained the idea I swear" she told him as she started to cry again.

" I believe you. Doesn't change the fact you manipulated us with the mate bond" he told her.

" Sounds familiar?" She asked him as he rolled his eyes.

" Listen out of all of us I'm the only one that understands why you did what you did. Don't push it, to where I'm against you too" he told her.

" But you are against me. You don't want anything to do with me remember" she reminded him.

" Sure Mae" was all he responded back.

" Let's talk about using manipulation and the mate bond against someone hmm" she said to him as he rolled his eyes.

" This entire f*****g time you have constantly been using the mate bond against me. You treat me trash and then make out with me like that's supposed to fix everything " she told him.

" Newsflash buddy, you can't erase shitty behavior with your mouth" she told him.

He laughed really hard at that comment " Mae if you really knew what this mouth could do you wouldn't have said that" he told her.

" That's my f*****g point right there Ace. You're being shitty to me right now, while manipulating me" she told him.

" You are such a brat. You should be punished " he said moving closer beside her.

" Don't touch me" she told him.

" What you deserve is to have my c**k so far down your throat you can't breath. To have my c**k so deep in your p***y you worry I'm breaking you in half. And if you don't get it, my c**k so deep in your ass you can't walk" he told her.

Mae was breathing hard just listening to him " But you don't get any of that. You decided you wanted to be away from us. " he told her and quickly threw open the door to the limo as it stopped and he got out.

Mae climbed out after him " You're such an asshole Ace" she yelled after him.

" Tell me something I don't know" he said as he continued to walk away from her.

She sighed and walked into the pack house by herself, she went upstairs to her room and closed the door behind her. She got out of her dress and was washing the make up off her face when her bedroom door slammed open.

" You dressed? I need to talk to you" came the voice of Kai.

" Give me a minute just got out of my dress" she told him.

She was just standing there in her bra and underwear. She went to where she kept her pj's and Kai was standing at her bathroom door looking in at her.

" Kai I said a minute " she told him as she put her arms over her chest.

" Well you are a liar so had to make sure you were telling the truth" he told her.

" What do you want?" She asked him rolling her eyes as she put her pj top over her head.

" Why?" he asked her with no clarification.

" Why what?" She asked him.

" After everything I've done for you. Why were you wanting to leave?" he asked her.

She sighed " Kai you know you three don't treat me even decently, let alone how you're supposed to treat your mate. I didn't see anything ever changing" she told him as he stepped closer to her.

" Even after your birthday you feel that way?" he asked her.

" That's how things could've been, honestly " he told her as he slid her pj top down exposing her shoulder.

He gently kissed her shoulder " I'm still irritated with you. But I'm willing to get over my own ego and move on. If you are?" he asked her.

" How do I know you're serious?" She asked him.

" You just have to trust me" he told her.

" What if I don't trust you?" She whispered.

" Then start " he said as he pulled her into a kiss.

She was crying as she kissed him back. He wiped away her tears when he pulled away.

" So all is forgiven?" She asked him.

He nodded " With me anyway, you might have blown it with Ace " he told her.

" Can I even be just one of your mate's?" She asked him.

" Probably not. The mate bond doesn't really work that way, but at least you have one of us for now" he told her kissing her again.
