Chapter Nineteen

The longer she spent with these Alphas the less sense they continued to make. Mae tried to go back to resting but she could hear yelling from downstairs. The curiosity was getting the best of her and she wanted to see what was going on. She stood on the very top of the stairs and slowly peered down the last thing she wanted was to be spotted. It was Ace and Kai just screaming at each other.

" I don't know what your problem is but you need to knock it off" Ace shouted at his brother.

" You. You are my problem. For someone that swears he doesn't want Mae you sure make it your mission to mess with her" Kai told him.

Ace scoffed " I can and will do whatever I want to her. She's our mate" he reminded him.

" Then we take her as our mate. These constant mind games is bullshit" he yelled back to Ace.

" She won't be Luna and you know it. She's not good enough" Ace replied.

Ok that hurt Mae thought trying not to cry.

" Then leave her alone. It's very simple" Kai told him.

" I will continue to do whatever I want to her. And there's nothing you can do about it" Ace told him.

She could hear footsteps of one of them walking away.

" You f*****g d**k" Ace all of a sudden shouted.

Mae went down the stairs further to see that Kai was hitting him. Ace was trying to block his hits but since he was taken by surprise he wasn't dodging them that well.

" Enough Kai" Max shouted running into the room and pulling his younger brother away.

" You see what that slut is doing to you. She's driving you crazy. Just stick your c**k in her and get it over with " Ace told his brother.

" Kai come on" Max said dragging his brother away as Kai was still trying to hit Ace.

Ace looked up and saw Mae standing there looking at them he laughed.

" Did you enjoy the show princess?" he asked her.

She didn't reply but he took a step towards her " This tease act you've been doing really needs to stop. Look at all this drama you've caused" he told her.

" I haven't been doing anything" she told him as she started to back away from him.

" OH but you have. You knew if you got into trouble you would be spanked, and you still willingly did it. You like the feeling of power you get over us" he told her.

" I don't have any power and you know it" she said when he grabbed onto her chin.

" You're not a good liar Mae" he spoke as he gave her a quick kiss then pulled away.

" You need to behave, I mean it. Next time I won't be so nice to you" he told her as he walked away.

She stood there waiting till he left and went back upstairs to her room. How on earth did he actually believe she was the reason for all of this? All she was doing was simply existing. She heard Kai's bedroom door open about an hour later. Without even thinking she went over to his door and knocked.

He opened the door and just stared at her. She walked in and he closed the door behind her. She looked around his room it was the same size of hers just very dark. Dark paint colour, dark bedsheets and carpet.

" Thank you" she started to say when he cut her off.

" Don't thank me. Seriously dont" he told her.

" I wasn't expecting you to defend me" she told him.

He shrugged his shoulders as Mae continued to speak " You're not in trouble with him are you? I don't want you dealing with any drama because of me" she asked him.

" No there's nothing he can really do to me besides hit me" he told her.

Mae leaned in and kissed him. Kai pushed her away instantly.

" That's not why I said anything. I don't need anything from you" he told her.

" I know. But I want to" she told him.

She leaned in and kissed him again. He put both of his hands on her lower back pulling her closer to him. This was what Mae needed to be respected and stood up for. Maybe just maybe this would be the beginning of change for her.
