Chapter Thirty-One

Mae rolled over to see Kai sleeping beside her, she smiled and tried to sneak out of bed. His hand reached out and pulled her back.
" You're not quick enough" he mumbled in his sleep.
This last week Kai had been sleeping in her room every night. It's crazy how right this felt especially given everything it took to get them here.
" Let go ill be right back" she told him with a giggle.
" If you must" he groaned and let go of her.
She quickly used the bathroom and came back to bed kissing his cheek. He opened his one eye and smiled at her.
" What's going on today?" She asked him as she cuddled back into his body.
" Unfortunately my day is filled with meetings. But tonight you're all mine. In fact I'm taking you out tonight" he told her.
" As in a date?" She asked him and he nodded.
" Yup, you deserve it after everything " he told her giving her a kiss.
" That will be nice. Plus there's things we need to talk about anyway" she told him.
" Like what?" he asked her resting his head on his elbow.
" Like the timeline to take things to the next level, as in marking me and officially making me Luna" she told him.
" That will come with time let's just enjoy this" he told her as he kissed her hard distracting her.
" I won't forget Kai" she told him as he was kissing her neck.
Together they stayed in bed cuddling and kissing, one of the staff actually brought breakfast upto them.
" I'll see you at lunch, have a good day" Kai said as they both eventually got out of bed and her gave her a kiss.
She got dressed and made her way downstairs and walked past Ace without saying anything. She could tell he looked at her but he didn't say anything. Since everything happened last week Ace just ignored her now. Maybe it was better this way. She decided to take a walk around the grounds for something different to do.
During her walk she saw Max outside and put her head down,he also had been ignoring her. The relationship with Max had always been a decent one. He was never awful to her, or tried to mess with her. So it was shitty that he now hated her. Once it was time for lunch she made her way into the room.
Kai smiled at her and came over to her kissing her instantly.
" How long does this honeymoon phase last?" Max whispered to Ace.
" Hopefully not too much longer, it's beyond annoying" Ace spoke back not whispering.
" It's OK to be jealous " Mae responded back before she could help herself.
" I'm not jealous" Ace spoke back to her.
" Ok" she said giving him a wink.
" I don't care to be with someone like you" Ace told her as he left the room, Max followed behind him abit after.
" Don't worry about him " Kai said as be kissed her again.
Kai went back to his meetings after lunch and Mae got ready for their date. She took a shower, got dressed in a cute black dress, did her hair and make up too. Kai knocked on her bedroom door and walked into the room grinning as he saw her.
" You look gorgeous " he told her as he looked her up and down.
" Thanks so do you" she told him as she eyed him in his dress shirt and pants.
He grabbed her hand and took her downstairs to her car " wear protection " Ace called from the library as they walked by.
" Nah raw would be better" she called back to him as Kai just laughed.
" You really enjoy bothering him huh?" he asked her and she shrugged her shoulders.
He drove them to a really nice restaurant. She was in awe she never thought she would be able to eat anywhere like this.
" Are you ok you've gotten really quiet?" he asked her.
" I just don't know what to do or say. I've never been out anywhere like this ever" she told him.
" Well you will get used to it" he told her as he gently squeezed her hand.
They both ordered a really expensive steak and some wine. Before she knew it the night was over and he was driving them back home. Mae was definitely a little tipsy and she was struggling to walk. Kai helped her take her shoes off and picked her up so she didn't need to walk.
" Is she alright?" Ace asked once they got upto the bedrooms.
" Just had a little too much to drink" Kai told his brother as he opened her bedroom door.
" HI Ace" Mae shouted at him as Ace just rolled his eyes.
" Hi back" he told her.
" I thought you were done with me" she pointed out to him.
" So that means I can't say hi to you?" he asked her trying not to laugh.
" Apparently not, these are the rules you've set" she told him.
" Mae go to sleep" Ace told her as Kai put her down onto her bed.
Mae groaned " I want all three of my mates in my bed" she said as she laid her head down.
The brothers just looked at each other not saying anything.
" What do I have to do, to get all three" she spoke to no one.
Kai just nodded at his brother as Ace left the room.
" Get some sleep" Kai told her as he put the blanket on Over her.
" You're not spending the night with me?" She asked him trying to sit up.
" No I don't think it's a good idea" he told her.
" Why? Because I'm drunk and you don't want to take care of me?" She asked him as she rolled her eyes.
" No that's not it. I'm worried you're going to want to take things too far. You're drunk it's not right" he told her.
" I have a clear enough head. Besides I haven't even said anything about hooking up" she told him.
" Just better to be safe. Have a good night" he told her kissing her cheek.
