Chapter Thirty- Eight
Ace was very confused he thought that he had rebuilt enough trust with Mae to move onto the next step. And the next step was a pup. But clearly she wasn't ready for that and he didn't know how to get her ready for it. When she slapped him he knew he went too far, the last thing he wanted to do was to go back to his old ways. And for that few minutes he was back to his original self. That man didn't deserve her, not in any way. When Mae went upstairs he took off for a long run with his wolf. He really needed to think on how he could show Mae he changed, while also showing her that he really didn't change based on how he reacted. After a few hours he transformed back into his human self and made his way upstairs to his room. It was killing him not to go to her and beg for her forgiveness.
