In the beachhouse, Aria sits on her couch, deep in thought. She stares out the window, pondering her next move. Suddenly, her phone buzzes, indicating a new message. She picks it up and sees a text from Caleb.
CALEB (Text Message)
“Hey Aria, I've been thinking a lot about us. Can we talk?”
Aria's heart skips a beat, unsure of what Caleb wants to discuss. She takes a deep breath and starts typing her response.
ARIA (Text Message)
“Of course, Caleb. Is everything alright?”
CALEB (Text Message)
“I think there are things we still need to discuss. Can we meet at our spot by the park later?”
Aria's confusion intensifies. She ponders whether to come clean about her secrets or keep them hidden.
ARIA (Text Message)
“Sure, Caleb. I'll meet you there in an hour.”
After an hour, the two lovers, Aria and Caleb sitting at a cafe, in a warm summer evening. The people here doubled its count at night. They choose to sit at the corner of the cafe a little distant from the crowd.
Aria: (nervously twirling her hair) “So, Caleb, last night was...unexpected.”
Caleb: (smiling) “Yeah, it was definitely something. I had a great time.”
Aria is blushing upon hearing his feelings. She is hesitant for a while then, “Me too, Caleb. I feel like there's something special between us. Almost like we have a deeper connection.”
Caleb lifted his gaze, pausing, looking into her eyes, and said, “I feel it too, Aria. But I also sense that you're holding back. Is there something you're not telling me?” I’m ready to marry you after what happened last night.
Aria is happy when hearing his assurance of taking responsibilities on it. But, she is hesitant, “thank you Caleb, let me think first about us. I have something keep in my mind. Let me thoroughly examine myself first before agreeing such decision. I do wanna regrets in the future.”
“Well... there's a part of my past that I haven't quite shared with you yet. It makes it harder for me to fully open up.” she added.
Caleb giving a concerned look to Aria and hold her hands. “You know you can trust me, right? I'm here for you. I will understand you no matter what happened in your past.” he stated.
Aria feeling relax this time, but still she cannot tell him her secrets from the past. It’s not yet the time. She just press Caleb’s hands gently and said, “ thank you so much for understanding Caleb. Promise to tell you someday when I’m ready.
Caleb nod for agreeing to her. He do not force her to confess now, he give her time on it.
AT ARIA’S BEACH HOUSE- IN THE LIVING ROOM
Aria sits on the couch, a contemplative expression on her face. She nervously fidgets with the pendant around her neck, a constant reminder of her secret past.
Caleb enters the room, noticing Aria's distant look. He hesitates for a moment before finding the courage to speak up.
CALEB
(awkwardly)
“Hey, Aria. Is everything okay?”
Aria looks up, startled by his sudden presence.
ARIA
(smiling weakly)
“Yeah, everything's fine. Just lost in thought, I guess.”
Caleb takes a seat beside her, feeling an unspoken connection but unsure of how to bring it up.
CALEB
(sincerely)
“You know, ever since we started working together, I... I've been feeling something, Aria. Something I can't quite put into words.”
Aria's heart skip a bit.
“I’m sorry for the first night we had great time together, I couldn’t held it on. I tempted to kiss you and wants to be mine forever. I think, I’ve fallen in love with you at first sight.”
Aria suddenly gaze his face and felt awe in his love confession.
“I always thinking about you, Aria. I am comfortable seeing with you. What happened to us is our destiny. So, please give me a chance.” Caleb continue expressing his feelings. “
Will you marry me?” He is decided to marry her right away.”
Aria is confused, will she accept his offer or rejected it because she is not sure if when her secrets revealed, the things still go smoothly.
