Chapter One: Growing Up Alpha

"Welcome to the Blue Moon pack. My name is Todd Black, and this is my story of how I met my mate, Samantha White."

Todd's POV (5 years old)

"Mommy, it’s time to wake up," I say, jumping up and down on my parents' bed.

"Todd, what did I tell you about waking your mother up?" My father, Alpha Bruce Black, asks.

"You tell me to leave her be," I reply. "But Papa, I'm hungry, and the omegas are not in the kitchen."

"Come on, son. We will go down and get you some breakfast."

We go downstairs to the kitchen and make pancakes, eggs, and sausage for breakfast.

"Son, someday you will be all grown up and will find your mate and have pups of your own," my dad tells me.

After I eat breakfast, I go outside to find one of my best friends, Thomas, who is the son of my father’s beta. Thomas and I play for a few hours before lunchtime, and then my mother calls us in for lunch.

During lunch, we have grilled cheese sandwiches that my mother made for us, which are the best sandwiches ever, I must add. My mother is the best cook that there is.

"So Todd, what do you and Thomas have planned for this afternoon?" My mother asks me.

"Well, we were going to go fishing, but I think we can go and watch the warriors practice," I tell her.

Samantha's POV (6 years old)

"Mommy, where is my daddy? I want to go for a wolfy ride!" I say.

"Sweetie, your daddy is very busy doing Alpha work. Why don't you go and play with your friends, Anna and Alexis?" My mother, Selene, suggests.

Anna and Alexis are my best friends. They are twins that are the same age that I am and also the daughters of my dad’s beta, Alex. My mommy is busy with her work as the Moon Goddess, so I go outside to find my friends and play.

We play for at least four hours. Then we head inside to the kitchen to see what we have for lunch.

My mother is in the kitchen, making some excellent food. I don't know what it is called, but every time that she makes this, I love the taste because she is an excellent cook.
