Chapter Nine Jag Waking to the feel of myself laying on a lumpy mattress, I smiled, recalling the reason for it. “Mmmm. Millie.” Rolling onto my back, I found myself turned the wrong way in the small bed—my feet on the pillow, my head at the end of the bed. And Millie not in the bed at all. The night had been very good to us. Passions in overdrive, we’d spent the better part of the night wrapped up in each other in the best ways. I couldn’t remember ever having anything close to the experiences we’d shared. The only thing I felt bad about was the fact that I had to leave town soon.
