Chapter Ten Millie Piling all the dirty laundry into the basket, I hauled it to the laundromat next door to the apartment complex. Rachel pulled up just as I got to the entrance. She honked the horn, laughing like she’d done something very funny. “I didn’t expect to find you here, Millie.” Myra got out of the car, running to get the basket from me. “Here, I’ll do this. Rachel told me you had a very fun night that went late. You can go back and rest if you want.” Looking at Rachel with my mouth ajar, I asked, “You told her?” “Not everything.” Rachel put her finger to her lips. “Come here, talk to me.
