The gaze they kept giving each other at the dining table was ambiguous. Was she catching feelings he wasn't throwing at her? She kept wondering if it was love but couldn't fathom it as her p***y dripped at ever single gaze he gave her.
"Thank you for the treat" Robert told her on his way out.
"It's nothing. We could do this some other time... That's if you don't mind." She shrugged while he bade her farewell and left afterwards.
She stared as he walked into the dark of the night and until he was out of her sight, she never moved an inch.
There was something about the one-night stand guy that made her feel some kind of way, yet whatever it was, she couldn't place it.
Was it love? Or the fact that he handled her like a porn star the previous night?
No, it was definitely not love. It was impossible for her to fall easily.
She was the type that derived pleasure in dumping guys. Infact, she was the real definition of a female casanova— The longest she had dated someone was just two weeks and now, she was drooling over a guy she had met the previous night — One who would soon be the reason for her sleepless nights.
No! She wasn't ready for that. Perhaps, she was in her feelings and they were trying to bamboozle her.
"Arrrgggh!" She groaned when she stumbled on a stone on her way back in but the notification that had popped up on her screen distracted her from the attention she was trying to give her bruised leg.
It was a message from the modelling agency she worked with.
"Here's the picture Ma'am. You'll be modelling with him tomorrow by 5:pm."
The text wasn't what baffled her, but the fact that the person she was going to walk the runway with did. It was Robert again.
She choked and coughed. Someone she was trying to get over was coming again, this time as her partner for the runway modelling job.
She knew fate was real, but she never thought destiny was going to make her fall in love with the 'One-night stand guy'.
No, scratch that!
It wasn't love. She was engulfed by the sea of infatuation. Maybe she wanted a s*x buddy so bad!
"Arrrggghhh!" The sleepless night issue was already here and it irked her real bad. She would pick up her phone and stare at his picture, his abs which were intricately shaped and the hair that seemed as though they formed a line down to his loins, covered with sweatpants.
There she was again, falling for this strange guy.
And from the modelling job, they clicked and kicked off from friends to sizzling lovers.

"It's our one year anniversary, Robert. Thought you said you were gonna meet me at the hotel?" Michelle asked that night with her lingerie dropping the shreds of its designs on the floor.
Robert had just opened the room's window and the street lights from outside found its way in, casting an unusual glow on one part of Michelle's face.
She stood with her hands akimbo; like a mother waiting for an explanation from her lad.
"Told you I was caught up with work. C'mmon Michelle, I had a long day already, don't add to it. Besides, we aren't married yet. It's just one year of friendship, don't think it's worth all the anniversary shenanigans."
Those words sent cold shivers down Michelle's spine.
For once, she never thought she was going to be treated like a piece of rag.
Robert had just blurted that their dating anniversary wasn't worth celebrating and it was just 'friendship'. She needed nothing more to prove that the relationship was going sour.
From the lipstick stains on his shirt to the feminine cologne she had perceived on him when he made love to her two weeks ago, everything now made sense.
There was no need searching for more answers as they were already evident — He was seeing someone else.
He walked out of the room after saying those words to her without depicting the slightest sign of remorse, and the hot tears that rushed out of her eyes increased as she watched him zoom out of the estate gates from her balcony.
Dabbing the tears with the tears with her left hand, she used the right one to dial Beverly's number. She needed solace and her best friend was just the right person to give that to her.
"He ruined our anniversary." Her voice cracked while she spoke to Beverly through the phone.
"That scumbag! Who the helll does he think is? I'll teach him a lesson pretty soon. No one messes with my friend, I'm sure not letting this slide, this is the fifth time he's making you cry...."
Michelle hung up while Beverly was ranting, she had only wanted to pass the message but her friend Beverly was quick to anger. She wouldn't cease a moment to curse when it was necessary.
Even though her threats were sort of empty, they had a way of calming Michelle's spirit, It always reminded her that someone was behind her, her best friend's support mattered than any other thing.
The stuff she dreaded the most were happening to her as Beverly had forseen.
She was just on her way to concluding that love wasn't for her. The tears kept coming. This time, she let it flow without trying to jolt back.
"Will you come home tonight?" She had called Beverly that night to enquire if she had changed her mind about working over time at her office.
"No baby, I told you I won't be coming home tonight, still got a blizzard of documents to attend to, but I'll be with you by morning. Promise me you'll be good and won't think about that poop" Beverly's voice echoed through the phone. The room was silent enough make one hear the sound of another from a phone even if it was reduced to the lowest volume.
"I'll try" Michelle drawled, she tried not to laugh when Beverly referred to her boyfriend as 'Poop'.
"You'll be fine, you should get yourself busy with some popcorn and Netflix movies. I'll get you your favorite ice-cream on my way back, Love ya!" She hung up almost immediately.
Beverly was right. 'Netflix and chill' would definitely do the magic.
As she drew her bowl of popcorn closer, she swaddled herself up in a blanket in preparation to pay rapt attention to her TV screen, she hadn't munched and watched for long when she dozed off.
