Aiden The lake was peaceful. It was quiet. It was just Miles and I, sitting in the rowboat with a couple of fishing rods, enjoying the rising sun and the soft breeze. The birds were out, flying around and enjoying their own sense of freedom. I reeled my line in, grabbed a new worm and hooked it, casting it back into the water, so I could relax a bit. In the distance, a couple of otters came out from the other side. I tapped Miles on his shoulder, pointed to them and told him to be quiet. There were two adult otters and there was a baby on the back of one of them, swimming together, happy, enjoying life. I couldn’t take my eyes off them, thinking about me, Miles and Luna and how that could be us. But she’s not here right now. I get why. I don’t fault her for that, but f**k, I miss her
