I felt alone. It’s not the first time and I know it won’t be the last, but it sucks just the same. Drew has always been there for me growing up. He was my best friend, my cousin, and when he went to medical school, I felt like I was left alone because Ethan was also gone at that point. I remember the day the accident happened like it was yesterday. I was a freshmen in college, Ethan was a Junior. I was living at home and commuting to school at the time. It was a Saturday night when the cops showed up in the pouring rain. Mom and dad were coming home from a dinner party to celebrate dad’s thirtieth year at the factory when they were hit by a drunk driver, a teen. Dad was driving and tried to swerve out of the way but the car ended up rolling at least three times before landing on the roof
