"Good. Your food will be brought up in a few minutes." And then he started to leave the room. The prospect of being alone in the dark room scared her so much that she impulsively spoke up. "Wait," she called. He stopped but didn't turn around. "I'm scared. There's a weird shadow in the room and it's so dark and..." She trailed off and looked away, not wanting to embarrass herself further. "Nevermi-" she started, but was completely shocked when she saw him starting to make his way over to her. Without a word, he got onto the bed next to her and wrapped her up into his arms, so that her head was laying on his chest. She had gotten used to sleeping in his arms. She didn't know if it was a good thing but she felt safe with him because, realistically, nobody could stand against the Alpha King
