The pain in my foot was second to the fear that pumped through my veins as I limped out of the bedroom and down the hall to the kitchen. I needed something to eat and I would be damned if I let myself starve to death while I waited for Eden to drag me into a dark room and finish the job. Both men were sitting in the den, watching television and drinking coffee as if one of them hadn't just tried to drown me. I spared a glance towards Eden but he didn't even acknowledge my presence.
