Chapter 24: Remember

I could feel it coming in the dark. There was a great pressure pressing in from all sides, a haunted echo smothering me – hand over mouth. "Run," a broken whisper hit me like distant thunder. My legs moved sluggishly as I trudged through inky blackness. I put my hands out in front of me, blindly finding my way through what felt like the utter absence of life. There was nothingness as far as my eyes could see, yet, I felt like the weight of the universe was pressing down on my very bones. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't call out. I didn't think that anyone would answer even if I could. I walked for what felt like eternity through the blackness, searching for any sign of life, but found nothing. After a while though, I began to feel like there was something following after me. Every time
