Stealing From The Crown Prince

The Majarlican Demigod Chapter 28: Stealing From The Crown Prince Amid the intense fight, Saphrias screamed, and the fighting stopped. She's pulling her hair as her head is aching, "AHH! Stop! STOP IT" She grumbles in pain. Winslett put her hands down, and Talia and Francis fell off the ground. Les Voir brothers came to pick up Francis, and Hans ran to get Talia. "Are you alright, Maestra?" The Pandora guy asked her. "Someone interfered!" Phrias is outraged based on her looks. The fight should indeed have ended, but why didn't she stop it? "We have to take them to the Medicus," Hans exclaimed. "Sit down, Hans," Saphrias said. She will be awake in a bit. Take her to the side. I know that you are worried about your friends and, of course, dying on this course." She pointed out. Artes would have come now or is here amongst us, and we have to make sure that we are well equipped to fight." "Someone could've died, Maestra." Hans said, "Winslett is blood commanding, which is illegal and fatal. You would've stopped that." "I'm sorry, I didn't mean that," Winslett cried. I knew I was fighting with Talia and Francis when we were fighting. The thing is, I cannot stop using my skills to their limit. I wanted to stop, but I couldn't," she explained as she sobbed. "It's what's gonna happen if Artes uses your ability against each other and you are not prepared because your mind is only focused on fighting and defeating the enemy," Saphrias said. "I was doing that with the hope that somebody from that group would be awakened, but it didn't. It only shows that you haven't decided on your mission." "Then what's the mission?" Hamilton asked. "Your mission is solely to protect Majarlicans, the Majarlika, and defeating Artes. You can fight all you want. But even fighting includes fighting with each other." Saphrias walked to the center, "Why would I put you on a test that you won't learn?" That is true, and at the same time, it's something that we are not prepared to do. At the end of the day, no one wants to be a sacrificial lamb for this kingdom. She dismissed the session and called us for a break. She's touching the right side of her head. Whoever interfered' must have a significant source of skills to be able to attack Saphrias. He or she is very skillful. It's already late in the afternoon as if the time just slipped. If I were to evaluate what happened, our maestros are putting us in an actual battle situation. My classmates were tired, even the younger kids. I can't pretend to be as exhausted as the others—they don't seem to lift a finger and are too tired for dinner. Also, the activity made me slightly sick, as if I had recalled the past. We all went to bathe simultaneously, and everyone in this school mirrors how exhausted each other was. Staring at them thoughtfully makes me feel more tired than I actually think. I have to be a bit away from them by staying in the park. The park is sure relaxing after the bath. "It's not the time to relax, Althea." A voice called out to me. I looked around, and there was no one there. "Stop messing around, Junior Councilor Salazaria." I responded, "I'm exhausted." "A demigod will only be tired if he encounters a real battle with a demigod." He lectured, "Did you not notice what happened earlier? There's too much display of power and energy." "You can always get straight to the point." "Artes was here." The mention of the name got me awakened, "Artes? That's im—" "The training that happened was interfered with by Artes, and I had to battle with Saphrias' mind-controlling abilities without getting caught," Brighton cut me up. "Saphrias will never let herself be engaged with the enemy's wrongdoing, Brighton. You don't know her." I tried to find Brighton around, but he was nowhere near. My eyes found Prince Rupert instead. "Seriously, a demigod chosen to be the next duchess is getting easily distracted by some prince?" Brighton chuckled as I was startled by Rupert being in front of me. "Can you leave me alone, Brighton? I don't know what you meant by that!" of course, I'll deny how I feel. Rupert smiled at me, "You seemed to be deep in your thoughts, Ally. Today's kind of tiring, isn't it?" "See? Even a normal person like Rupert can read how tired you are, Althea. Just admit that your cousin can't guard herself well." "Leave me alone, Brighton." This is the phrase that is all that I can think of. "Hahaha," Rupert laughed. This is so embarrassing. "Did I say it out loud?" I asked Rupert. Rupert nodded, "I didn't know you were that close to the junior counselor. Are you interested in him?" "WHAT?! NO WAY IN HELL!"~ "Oi, I can hear your thoughts loud and clear, Majarlican Demigod," Brighton said, "Seriously, you need to get a hold of yourself from feeling that affection for the prince. You and he have different purposes in your existence. If you do not stop that, I will give you enough reason to stop feeling that for him." "I can't comprehend what you're trying to say, celestial guardian. But hear me out. You can't tell how and who I want to feel for." "Ally, do you want to go to the infirmary?" Rupert tapped my shoulder. Somehow, Brighton has a point about Rupert and me. Although Rupert makes my heart race, our purposes in Kingdom Majarlika will always be far apart. I should feel content with being friends and thankful that I met him in this school. Perhaps, Saphrias is right. I should not get involved with Rupert that much for my own sake. I looked at Rupert and smiled, "I'm ok, and I'm sorry if I look like I'm spacing out too much." "You don't need to apologize," Rupert responded, "Do you want to fly?" He flashes me a smile that is more beautiful than the twilight. "Like, right now?." I responded awfully. "I guess you only want to fly with the junior counselor then." he looked away. "There's no way! I'd rather grow my pigeon wings than fly with that arrogant person." I said. Rupert laughed at me again, "My, my, you're making me jealous with that expression," he walked closer to me and held me on my waist. My feet are meters above the ground in the blink of an eye. Rupert, the kingdom's prince, looks at me with the loveliest eyes and sweet smile as the tired sun shines before shutting itself off from the world. It's hard to stop being captivated by this façade, but I can control my own deceitful heart. The wind touching my face is quite relaxing, though the height scares me. But the prince is holding my hand right now, making me feel more of a person. I closed my eyes as I tried to feel like I was the one who owned the ability to soar this free. It feels natural, and I won't stay up here anymore. I was totally soaking myself in the joy of being able to feel as free as can be when, "Ally…" Rupert called me. I reopened my eyes and looked at him. His eyes were wide open, and he was in front of me. "How long have you had those wings?" he asked. Wings? Confusion crept into me, so I looked over my shoulder. That's true. I have feathers on my back! I've got feathers! No. I've grown wings. I transformed into a winged man-- this is incredibly surprising! How did I? Wait. If I could adapt to transporting from Hasmin, I got this from Rupert. "Ally, how are you able to grow wings like that?" Rupert asked. "I don't know either. It just happened," I responded. Like, would I ever have an alibi to tell me? "It's like an angel's wings." He comments. "We should go back now. The others might be looking for us. I mean, we won't like an angry Saphrias there." He grabbed my hand, "Let's go." Rupert led us back to the dormitory, but then, as we landed in front of the gate, I remembered that I didn't know how to make these wings hideaway. His wings just disappeared while mine didn't. My palms are sweating! What if Saphrias and Kori caught me on this look and questioned how I grew wings? "Almost time for dinner!" Rupert walked ahead of me. I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate on how to hide my wings. Hide your wings! Hide your wings! Hide your wings! "You're too loud, Althea!"— (To Be Continued)
