The Majarlican Demigod Chapter 21: The First Absorbed Skill                 The fishnet has been removed.             "Althea!" my father called me, and my senses were awakened. He's carrying Zephyra in his arms like a little girl.               I searched for Talia, and I saw her five feet apart from my left, still asleep. I got up and tried to wake Talia up.               "Why are you here?" Father asked.             "Zephyra followed you, so we go after her," I responded.             Talia wakes up and gets herself together. "Where are the Holsters?" she asked.             "They escaped," I told her as I dust myself off.             "You are not safe here anymore. You need to go back to Centralia right away." Father said. "Counselor Ivan is going to chase after you, which will put everyone else here in danger. At least in Centralia, he will be limited as other officials will be watching him closely."             "How about Zephyra?" I asked.             "I will be sending your sisters to your aunt Natalia's house in Centralis. Zephyra will study in Centralia after the break." He said and walked us to the carriage.               We settled ourselves inside the carriage. I don't usually get tired, but the fight I had with Imman is a different one. Zephyra is lying her head on my father's lap.               "I will ask Natalia to fetch your sisters tomorrow, and you two, Talia and Ally, will go now." he looks at the sleeping child, and his face shows that he's distraught.             "We will be alright, Father. You know that we are all independent, even Marzia." I tried to comfort him.             "I know. You are too independent, and because of that, you're reckless like this kid. She knows that she's mighty, so your sister does everything she pleases, but Artes is someone inevitable." Father said.               I silenced myself for a moment because I might spoil the secret right here. Talia knew that we don't really die, but she doesn't know that we're demigods.               After half an hour, we reached home. Talia and I took our things to our rooms then went back to the carriage. We just went out without bidding goodbye as a father wants us to go out as soon as possible.               Back to the carriage, the servants arranged the seat as a bed to get ourselves asleep because the travel would be a bit long since it's nighttime.               "Are you all demigods?" Talia straightforwardly asked.               I was not ready for that question.               "My sisters and I are. The rest of our family were normal Majarlicans." I responded.             "How is that possible when your parents were Majarlican and Mutant?" she got up.             "My father isn't human. He is Celestial Guardian 1166 assigned to war with Artes and his league, then he met my mother, one of Artes' alliance— the goddess of the fatal disease, her real name is Zephrias. They fell in love during the war." I started responding.             "Your mom is Zenia, a mutant. I saw her." she doesn't believe.             "She created herself a vessel that she copied from a diseased mortal so she could live among Majarlicans normally like what father did. Socrathetius West died during the plague, and the chief of Celestial Guardians chose his body for Celestial Guardian 1166 when he asked for a mortal body to be with my mom." I continued.             "And Zenia still left your dad," she said.             "Mom's immortality is preventing her from living among us. If she does not leave, she won't be able to protect us from Artes. Besides, everyone hates her for being one of Artes' allies before." I said.             "Then why your dad speaks against her as if he didn't know why your mom left?" she asked again.             "As part of the agreement, my dad won't remember anything about himself being a celestial guardian and anything about mom when he exchanged immortality for a human body. He would only know about the life of Socrathetius West instead of his own self." I answered,        "My mom has to go through everything all over again to be with dad after that, but then, no one knew about it but us."             Talia looked sad. "That must be very hard, Ally," she said, and she gave me a tight hug. I pat her head. "I'm fine. You know that." she let go of me.             "If you're a demigod, that means you can kill Artes!" she said, "But... It also means, he can..." she paused, "Kill you." she finished hesitantly.             "My existence has a purpose, and that is to end Artes. I have Zephyra, you, and the rest of the class. We got all the chances of winning against him." I tried to persuade myself and her. "I'm scared, Ally." she looked down.               Those words bang into my head. I remember how I saw her before we died. She said it before the attack in Centralis. I shivered in fear.               I hold her hand, "Hey, you'll be fine. You are powerful." I said.             She looks at me. "If I die, please visit my grandma on earth. Tell her that I missed her very much, and I will be her angel," she said wearily.             "You will not die!" I said, "We will fight together. Just like all the time, Talia."               She nodded and laid down again. I lay beside her and pats her head until I saw her falling asleep. I closed my eyes.               I wake up with the sun almost rising in the mid-blue sky. I sit down and look over the place. We are almost in Centralia. I wake Talia up so she can fix herself. The carriage of the princes is ahead of us. Somehow it gives me a pinch of excitement.               We were just in time for breakfast when we arrived. It's only been days, but it feels like we were away for a month. The servants put our stuff in my room so Talia and I could go for breakfast.               The Pandoras welcomed us to our favorite table. The hall is filled with greetings of 'Long Time No See' and 'How are yous.' Rupert then came with his brother and so the others. I don't feel like talking too much. I feel awkward today.               "Aren't Holsters supposed to be with us today?" Zera asked.               I almost choke myself from gulping in the glass of water.               "The Holsters cannot make it to school in the following days, according to Councilor Ivan. His kids got flu, and they have to stay with their grannies." Brighton responded.             "That's too bad." Hans said, "On the other hand, they are distant from the rest of us, so... it's just bad for them."             "Or not," Talia said. I hold her other hand under the table to warn her from spilling it out.             "They don't need this training," she snide, "Their father is one of the powerful counselors. They need no training."             "The younger Holster has not unleashed her powers yet..." Raphaelli commented. "She badly needs this."             "I don't know, but I think I heard that Idina is the mysterious songstress, and she was captured by the unknown elemental fairy," Prince Roux responds.               I kept my mouth and continued eating whatever was on my plate.               "That rumor must have been based on a solid fact." Talia shaded on with one brow raised.             "Do you know something that we don't, Talia?" Hans asked jokingly.             "Maybe," Talia answered fast.             I dropped my spoon and fork, acting shocked, then I stood up, "Excuse me." I looked at them, then at Talia, "I've got to go to the infirmary" then I turned my feet. I closed my eyes and thought of the nurse's station. I know I was lying about going there, but I was not standing in the same spot when I opened my eyes again.               "Lady Althea, can I help you with something?" the nurse ask in front of me.               The nurse is in front of me-- standing right at the medicine counter.             How did I? How'd I gotten here?               "Are you alright?" the nurse asked.             "How did I get here?" I asked.             "You just showed up, young lady. You teleported," she responded. "You're a Kinesthetic, aren't you?"             "Yeah. I mean, I am," I hesitantly responded, "Excuse me, I need to go to the washroom."               I slowly walk to the exit. It's bizarre. It's the very first time I was able to teleport. I didn't see the quantum space that Hasmin and I had gone through when she took me with her.               Wait.             If I could only do it now, does that mean I subliminally absorbed Hasmin's power of teleportation? That's the only thing I can think of.             This is fascinating.               I reached the stairs to our dormitory, but I went straight to the picnic grove instead of proceeding to my room. It's not yet time for the training, but I want to get there earlier than everyone.               "Ally." Rupert appeared from above. I bet he flies around the campus. "It's nice to see you again," he said.             "Yeah... Nice to see you too. I mean, again. How have you been." I asked.             He hid his wings and stepped on the ground. "Everything's good, I guess. I saw you disappeared earlier the way you did last night," he said.             "Last night was really crazy," I said.             "Yeah... That's unexpected. I have envisioned people just having fun and not trying to stop a big explosion. It's good that Brighton found out about it, and I thank everyone who helped." he paused, "But you owe me something."             "Huh?" I don't get what he meant.             "You owe me a dance," he answered.               We both paused then a moment of awkward silence stood between us. I started laughing it off.               "Gosh!" I said while awfully laughing, "That's a good joke."             "I know," he responded.               Saphrias called us, “Prince Rupert, Lady Althea," she's with Kori and Florentius.             "Maestra." I sighed.             "Good thing you're early," Saphrias said. "Let's wait for the others."               We take our seats right on the bench.               "Hey Al," Kori came to me. "Can I talk to you for a while?" she said.             "Of course." I stood up.               She walks me to the stairwell of bleachers.               "I heard about Zephyra. She's at our house with your other siblings today. I see that she have a great power that she possesses, and I believe that she can use it for many things." Kori said. "But she needs guidance on how to properly use it because if not, she might be in great danger."               I know what Kori means, but it's also possible that she said that she knew what happened in the boundary.               "I am trying to guide her, Kori, but you know how hard-headed she is. She's gonna do what she thinks she should do." I responded.             "I know you were, Ally, and I want to help. We will be guiding her together," she said.             "Thanks, Kori," I said.             She pats my head, "You have such bags on your shoulder."               The rest of the class arrived then we started off with our training.   (To be continued)
