239 Words
Five years after the untimely demise of his parents and the unending hardship he faces every single day that passes, emeka never let it demoralize him, he was always working hard in training so as to make it big in his football career, so one faithful afternoon after school, emeka went home, had his bath and then went out in search of a football team around his locality where he would always train, while on his way he saw some kids playing football and it caught his attention, emeka stopped and watched them play for hours before deciding to join them but there was a major challenge for him, emeka had no football boots to play with and that made them ignore his plea to join them. emeka was so upset because they didn't let him play so he ran as fast as he could to his uncle's shop where he sells palm wine and pleaded with his uncle to help him buy new pairs of football boots so as to join his mates in training but his uncle wasn't financially buoyant enough to cater for the family's needs and wants, this got emeka frustrated the more, so he went back home and began to ponder on how to get money to buy football boots. Days went by and emeka was still unable to get the money that he needed to buy new pairs of football boots for himself.
