SLOANE'S POV
After breakfast with Toby the following morning, I got dressed to see elder Lucas. I had to thank him personally for watching Toby while I was away.
I picked up a document I'd been asked to deliver to him at the summit and picked a bag to go out with.
There was a knock just as I was about to step out.
"Strange," I murmured. It was rare to have someone at my door by this time.
I walked over and opened it.
A courier stood outside, expression blank and professional.
“Ma'am,” he greeted with a bow, extending a sealed envelope to me.
