SLOANE'S POV
I closed the door to Toby's room, tiptoeing lightly as I'd just managed to put him to sleep.
He was young, but I could tell her I could tell he knew something was wrong.
"Let him be Sloane, you're overthinking this." Scarlett said.
I sighed. Maybe she was right, maybe I was getting all worked up. I couldn't help it, Toby's safety mattered too much to me.
I yawned softly, stretching my body as I made my way outside. I needed to get fresh air, and a little space to think as well.
If I wanted to win this case, then there was only one way that would be possible. Getting dirt on Sterling.
Unfortunately, I couldn't think of anything. He'd managed to keep me out of his business all these years.
I knew he didn't love Toby, and I knew of his affair with Penel
